two presidential bids and $7,481 in unpaid income taxes.

1. Such is the state of the GOP in Illinois...
Senator Dick Durbin used a "motel key" comparison re Keyes' run.

10. Not just the Republicans...
Crazy Alan himself trashed her. It's in the ABC News story that's linked in the thread.

Not just a deluded, self righteous, in debt windbag, but a hypocrite, as well.

Nice going, Illinois GOP!

3. Maybe he can pay those off with his winnings
from that latest reality show "Who Wants To Be The GOP Senatorial Candidate From Illinois". Lucky for him Ditka opted out of the game, he woulda been a Bear in the challenges.
Don't mind me, I'm posting like hell trying to get out of the 700 club before Robertson knows I'm there.

4. owed income taxes... do you have a link for that?
Wouldn't it make a great ad... donate to Keyes - and the first 500,000+ will go towards paying off his debts incurred three years ago in the last presidential campaign,,, the next $7,000+ can go to paying off his income taxes... THEN and only then might your dollars actually go towards the race - but remember - THIS candidate likes to draw a salary from his campaigns - so the chances are - that any money donated won't actually go towards any campaign activities - simply towards cleaning Keyes' financial house.

5. heh.
Keyes still owes $524,169 from his two presidential bids, according to federal elections records. He also owes $7,481 in unpaid state income taxes in his home state of Maryland, according to court records.

(but...)

The state filed a lien against Keyes in December 2001 for those unpaid taxes. Bill Pascoe, a Keyes adviser, said the tax bill was erroneous and Keyes only owed $152, which he paid (conveniently)on Friday.

6. took him 3 years to pay a $152 dollar debt?
If that is their story - then folks have to wonder - does this man even get paid to be on the radio - or is he an egosticical deadbeat (working for free - hence the debts remain unpaid) who won't get a job because he can (for free?) talk on the radio instead.

Any way one cuts it - suggests Keyes isn't quite the above board fellow he purports to be.

7. Alan Keyes ranks in the same line as Hannity, Limbaugh, and Coulter
He is a "kool-aidaholic".

8. Obama has the keys to Chicago

and Keyes better run on back to his home in Maryland.
Keyes is no Hillary.
This is such fun to watch!

They think they are pitting Brother against Brother- ha.

The Chicago Brothers and Sisters are no fools. They know that Keyes works in his Master's house. He is not appreciated in the African American community.

14. Yep, Obama has it in the bag
I figure that the ONLY reason the Illinois GOP is running Keyes is to divert money to Obama's campaign that would (and should) be spent elsewhere in this election. They've already accomplished that with the multitude of gay-marriage ban amendments, it's too bad.

13. Obama should say he supports tourism ...
... and welcome Keyes as a tourist.

He could also express appreciation for Keye's assistance to the state's economy.
