"Chalabi who?"
With Chalabi in the headlines again, will the Chimp get away with his "I chatted with him in a rope line" once again?

Just like "Kenny Boy?"

And the Saudis?

Or, will the media actually question why Chalabi was chosen and trusted in the first place?

1. They'll let bush* slide on this one. They always do on the important
questions. And this one is a doozy because bush*, Cheney, Wolfie, Perle, Feith, etc., used this guy to commit one of the biggest crimes any administration has ever committed in the history of this country.

They all knew he was a liar and a crook from day one, and nothing anyone says will ever make be think otherwise. There's an old saying about water sinking to it's own level. Well, the bush* administration is the same. They have a need to find liars (Cheney, Blair, Aznar, Howard, etc.) in order to justify whatever criminal activity they're up to at that given moment. And the reason they get away with it is because of the complicity of the media.

3. "They have a need to find liars"
Excellent point!! They always need three things: an enemy, an arsenal of liars, and a complicit media. You said it well. :)

5. Thank you. See, this is what we have to defeat, and it looks like maybe
more and more people are getting the idea.

It's also true about their actions in our own country. The have the enemy: 1) the Constitution right of American citizens 2) democrats and true conservatives 3)economic fairness for all Americans 4) the educational system 5) the infrastructure that supports the cities and states, and on and on.

They follow the same pattern in these areas that they did with the war on 'terra'. They find crooked corporate thugs who feel that they have a mandate to govern and control this country and the economy for their benefit, and then they go out and find the most blatant liars and theives to set government policies in these areas. Then they get pathetic excuses for journalist to write slanted articles that don't even make any sense when you study them, and you have to study them because they use bad information and bullshit to justify the bush* administration's policies. But if you pay attention, do a little digging, it's possible to see just how outrageous these people are with their shameless behavior and criminal dealings.

2. Caught the evening news on CBS
tonight and they said Chalabi was wanted and then they showed a pic of him sitting behind Pickles at the SOTU. Wonder if any of the others showed it or it was a CBS thing. Of course if it were something with a Dem it would be repeated over and over to drive it home and burn it into the memory. Just once won't do it but it was a start.

4. A little off the subject
but how much of an influence did Chalabi have with PNAC? I'm almost positive Clinton dropped him at some point and was never as close to him as Bushco....Would that be true?

8. Chalabi's Organization got 300K a month from BushCo
I seem to recall that until Bush flip-flopped on Chalabi, the US was giving him or his organization $300,000 or $350,000 a month for many months, and there were some accounting issues unresolved.
