Have You Noticed GOP Threatening Dems Regarding Terror/War, etc?
I've noticed something hitting the repuke pundits and their repuke whoring guests over the last handful of days. It seems that the big talking point is to say that the Dems will be sorry if they go after Bush on security, terrorism, etc. And they do the testrone pump of "go ahead, bring it on"!! Now, if I had only seen one person doing this it would not have registered. But, damn, it's like a percision ferret marching band all goosestepping in unison.

Doesn't the asshole know that the polls are showing no more interest in this Iraq war; the feeling that it has not made us more secure; the feeling it has made things more frightening; and that it isn't the people's #1 concern anymore (replaced by things like economy, healthcare, education, etc.)??? Welllll, then again, me thinks that's why these pathetic bastards are doing the puff the chest, thump the chest and daring to have it "brought on". The blow up of the UN building just blew up Bush. They want two things: 1) to scare the Dems away on the issue; and 2) this is something I've seen them do over and over again---they TELL the American people what the American people are thinking, thus trying to convince the individual that something must be wrong with their opinions and they should join the herd. Bottom line: the bastards are scared that their ONLY issue is turning into their noose. The Dems not only cannot back away, they have to come on with a gang bang that leaves these boys lying in the gutter where they belong. Don't let up on them Dems, don't let up----they are desperate. And they are desperately trying to convince the American people that George is still on top.

1. We in the Dean camp plan on getting real dirty on the issue.
Bush is going to regret wearing the flight suit, using the "Mission Accomplished" banner, etc. etc.

2. It's a Rovian strategy, I'm sure
the GOP has done this before. They use rhetoric to try to scare the Dems away as an attempt to cover their own increasing vulnerability. There was a story in the Wash. Post this week about Bush's growing political problems in Iraq and how putting his eggs in the security basket is coming back to haunt him.

3. Bob Graham
Feels our pain. Hopefully more Dems will pony up to him and help ride the bad guys out of town.

4. Oh yes...it is the spin of the week
It goes like this...If Dem's go after Bush on Iraq, they will be hammered by the question, "would you rather have Hussein with his torture chambers and mass graves still in power?"

And the response simply is "Hell no! In fact, we want to know why Reagan and Bush #1 aided and abetted that bastard! Why were we doing business with Chemical Ali during the 80's? Why did we recklessly go into Iraq without a plan? Why didn't Bush tell Americans about the PNAC before the war?"

You want more? Just build on the brave work of Congressman Henry Gonzalez. You can start here

All I want to know is why the hell Democrats, going all the way back to Clinton, weren't hammering the BFEE on these things since '92.
