Is this right? 966 killed in Iraq?
Edited on Sat Aug-07-04 06:46 PM by joefree1
This feels like dialing for deaths. A thousand killed will happen soon! How long until America wakes up?

966 killed according to this site:
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/iraq_casualties.htm

And look how the deaths have spiked recently according to this chart:

We're driving down to a CodePink peace march in San Diego (and to confront a protest warrior counter protest) and I'm bringing a sign that will simply state how many brave Americans have died for this stupid war. Guess I'll have to recheck the numbers tomorrow morning.

More info on the CodePink march here:
Tomorrow's San Diego "Walk for Peace" counter protest- Protest Warriors

on edit: if the same number of US deaths occur as in July we will reach 1000 by the end of this month.

3. Between 11 and 14,000 Iraqis have died in the "Liberation".
But, they don't count cuz they aren't 'Merkuns.

11. We've killed 6-7,000 children
Min - 11429, Max - 13398

from iraqbodycount.net

Half of the population of Iraq is under the age of 15, so it's safe to say if we've killed 13,000 innocent Iraqis, half of them were just children.

12. Well, we must "support our troops" and the great work they're doing.
After all, they're "just following orders".

5. The offical count is 929
http://icasualties.org/oif/

I think this count is accurate, if there's a flaw it's probably that the military doesn't report the real death toll.

6. Seems Just a Tad Bit High. 929, Perhaps?
Over at http://icasualties.org/oif/, they are reporting 929. They've been fairly consistently mirroring what the mainstream press report for quite some time. Of course, with all hell breaking loose now over there, I wouldn't be surprised if we've suffered major recent losses.

The true number on both sides should be ZERO, if not for the Felonious Five. American and Iraqi blood is every bit as much on their hands as the Commander in Chimp's. How those treasonous vermin sleep comfortably at night is beyond my grasp...

Thanks for posting this question about Iraq. We all have to keep it in our consciousness and keep the media's feet to the fire... Since they really seem to have forgotten the soldiers are there.
