Is it your goal to criminalize abortion in the United States? Do you think that abortion should be a crime?

WHY THE HELL is this issue positioned as "sticky" for Kerry, when most of the country agrees with him on it? Whether or not you would ever HAVE one or "BELIEVE" in them or whatever, most Americans do not want the government banning abortions, that is a fact.

So please will someone nail Bush on this? Does he believe in ensuring that women have a right to safe, early abortions or does he want to appoint "activist judges" to take that right away??

Top flight doctors were being prosecuted as criminals. Women were dying. I actually do not deep down because of my own upbringing, believe in choice. But I cannot fathom returning to the situations that existed then. Thus I could never take the chance on voting for a Republican for President until the Supreme Court pendulum swings back left.

2. Pretty Much that question WAS asked of Bush I

Somebody asked him what penalty he would want for a woman who had an abortion. "How many years" is a great question for all anti choice people--if they mean abortion is murder, then life, of course. If they mean abortion is like all the other lifestyle crimes like adultery, then they won't want it punished at all.

So what did Bush I say? He said he think about it, and the next day came back with saying the woman's doctor should be charged with a crime, not the woman, which makes no sense no matter what you think of abortion. Go figure.

4. i truly believe that the same law or thinking or whatever you call it

that lets them hold prisoners without charges in Cuba will be will be used to hold doctors because they support choice and might perform an abortion.

i also wonder alot about if abortion is made illegal, and say a mother with three kids finds herself with an unwanted pregnancy, and declares her intent to end her pregnancy, will they take her children away and throw her in jail for attempted murder? i make myself crazy worrying about that type of stuff.

i would really like to know that if abortion is made illegal, what type of actions will be pursued against those women caught seeking an end to pregnancy.

A lot of Americans oppose abortion as well and a lot more oppose partial birth abortion. (I am only in category two myself.)
