O'Reilly didn't mention the lawsuit
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 08:11 PM by LouKYDem
I rarely watch Fox News, but I HAD to watch O'Reilly tonight to see if he would've mentioned Franken's victory...

Of course, the coward didn't mention it... at all! But you know that if Fox News would've won, he probably would've had that in his Talking Points... oh well, that's fair and balanced for you. It doesn't surprise me one bit that he failed to mention this. But anyway, the other networks still seem to be talking about it. Has Fox News mentioned it at all?

1. Will we ever see
an ounce of magnanimity out of that festering sore?

Doubt it.

2. It looked like a rerun. . .
. . .I know he had been on vacation this week. None of the stuff on the show was too timely.

4. It may have been a rerun, but...
he DID mention that he had been gone all week, and as far as I know, he hasn't had any other vacations since Arnold decided he was going to run for governor (and that wasn't all that long ago).

3. Would've had it in his talking points (if faux had won)
Hell, we'd be hearing about it for weeks (if we watched the moron regularly).

You're so right, he, like the sad imposters he promotes (the bush regime), is cowardly to the extreme. What a bunch of wimps.

The good news - they are less relevent today than they were yesterday, and will be even more irrelevent tomorrow. Like a big hate-filled, lie-filled balloon - punctured - and loosing mass, worth, and significance.

5. O'Really is a bully who is a coward...
of course he would not mention the ruling on his show, just like he would never criticize his bush*.

Has anyone heard if Al Franken has made a statement about the ruling??

10. Al's response
He thanked his lawyers, and then thanked Fox's lawyers for filing "one of the stupidest briefs" in legal history.

7. O'Reilly is on Vacation !

But I will bet you he never mentions it next week either, and the people who say he would
have if they had won, are dead right.

O'Reilly only does follow up stories when he was right, or when he wins.

He is the king of spin, king of bias, king of hypocrisy, and a coward.

The funniest part is all it did was put the book at #1 on the amazon.com bestseller list.

I read the entire 18 page legal brief, it was the stupidest legal paper I had ever read. It
was more like a commercial for Fox, O'Reilly, and his books, than it was a lawsuit. The
first 10 pages should not have even been in the brief, the whole thing was a joke.

And the ironic part is O'Reilly complains all the time about frivolous lawsuits, this was one of
the most frivolous lawsuits I have ever seen.

9. Whoops!
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 08:48 PM by LouKYDem
I just did a little research and it WAS a rerun. So much for the "latest" news! (Well we know O'Reilly isn't news anyway, but seriously, I've heard a conservative tell me one time about what they saw on "O'Reilly's News."... I wouldn't even call a liberal commentator news, it's just opinion, even if the liberal cause is right.)

But this does say one good thing (well one good thing that makes me feel better at least), it proves that I don't watch O'Reilly regularly, otherwise I would've known that it was a rerun!

I still don't think he'll say much, though, if anything, about their loss.

11. Course not
Fox will probably act like it never happened. ("Let us never speak of it again!"). Meanwhile MSNBC, CNN and NBC could hardly contain their glee as they reported the story.
