3. He also has Margaret Cho, Tavis Smiley, and discusses voting machines.

SNIP..."The upcoming election, the electronic voting system and the potential for lost votes and computer hacking are of great concern to many Americans. Joining Governor Dean to discuss the E-voting issue are Author/Digital Activist Bev Harris and California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley. Harris will also demonstrate how easy it is to access and hack into a computer and the ominous implications of the E-voting system.

Dean will also be joined by Jon Stewart from "The Daily Show" for a one-on-one discussion about the success of his Comedy Central program with the 25 and under set; the approach his show takes to the news, their spin on the media at large, and of course, Stewart's jabs at Dean on the campaign trail.

In a roundtable discussion about the issue of race in this country will be Tavis Smiley, NPR radio host and syndicated radio host Tom Leykis discussing recent comments about the black family made by actor Bill Cosby at a Rainbow Coalition event.

In addition, outspoken Actor/Comedian Margaret Cho will talk to Dean about her widely anticipated stand up tour, "State of Emergency," which launches next month.

"I am delighted to be stepping in for Tina this week. This is an opportunity to speak about issues that can change this country," said Dean. "I am glad to have this opportunity to discuss topics that are of relevance to all Americans."

6. The Worm Turns A Little More...Good News For Us All
NBC must have some real hot focus data...(and some of us know what that data is)...that is showing a large and growing "liberal" audience. They're noticing a major shift in listening and viewing trends and trying to catch up to Viacom, who has been on to this trend for quite a while.

First it was the best seller Liberal Books...folks, we've been dominating those lists now for the last two years. Next came F911 that still leaves the researchers and advertisers confused no end as to its popularity and how they can cash in on it.

Now, a very, very, very good thing...few folks noticed, but AAR kicked ass on KPOJ in Portland. The station's ratings went from virtually nothing to the most listened to AM station in the key 25-54 demo. It beat out several hate talkers easily...and showed consistant growth throughout the ratings period...thus it wasn't a quick sample when the format came on the air...it's steady listenership.

Clear Channel owns KPOJ, and I was floored when they agreed to carry the network on this station when things started up last April. The cynic in me said this was a way for the company to have some influence in the network to either control it or destroy it...and I hope neither comes to be.

The first sign of KPOJ's success came last month when CC flipped their powerful WRFX (the old WINZ) in Miami to a similar format, they're calling "Progressive Talk" (as a Progressive, I have no problems with that name). Folks, if this station does well in Miami...and we'll know in the next 30 days, look for Clear Channel to make some big moves on some of their poorly performing AM stations.

The market is working in our favor as Clear Channel's revenues have been hit badly by this "booming economy"...and anything that can draw ratings and revenues is a welcome sight...even "liberals" like Franken, Shultz, Rhodes, Garafalo & Malloy.

Kudos to AAR for hanging tough and making it past these first turbulent months...now to build on this initial momentum.

Dean sitting in on CNBC...the bastion of capitalism, along with McEnroe, is an about face on this network that will be interesting to see. Looks like GE/NBC/MSGOP are hoping to hitch their stars to Dean & Ron Reagan...and then into our hearts and wallets. Tread carefully.
