5. Well, that is my point. People are whining about CNN and I don't see a
terrible bias in their coverage. They had republicans contributors at the DNC , but I'm sure they will do the same at the RNC. The opposing views create debates and excitement.

11. Well I've seen a few ads today
on CNN counting down the days till the Repug Convention. I don't remember seeing any of that for the Dems. So I'd say the Convention bias has started already.

2. Here's the problem...
On "real" news, we shouldn't be able to guess which ones are Republicans and which are Democrats. The news is SUPPOSED to be objectively reported. The problem isn't that they are repubs or dems, it's that there is no objective news reporting anymore.

News is now entertainment. It's predigested pablum that is spoonfed to Americans that have fallen out of the habit of thinking for themselves.

Lou Dobbs is very trustworthy. He tells views what is best for America and you.

Because claiming that he tells what is best for America is a pretty outlandish complement.

7. Aaron Brown is about the only decent one there.
Paula Zahn, Larry King, and Soledad O'Brien are just kind of vacuous; they don't really challenge anyone of either party.

But it's CNN's political reporters-- Wolf Blitzer, Judy Woodruff, and Candy Crowley-- who are truly puke-worthy and downright dangerous, because they are PERCEIVED as being unbiased and fair.

Add Bill Hemmer to that group, and you've got your "CNN DO-NOT-WATCH" list.

At this point, I only turn on CNN at 10pm ET.

Oh wait, Daryn Kagan is sitting in for Aaron Brown tonight.

9. here, I'll help you out....
Let's see -- there's Bill Schneider, a supposedly "objective" political analyst who is a member of the arch-conservative American Enterprise Institute and never misses a chance to bash the Clinton's (called Bill Clinton "white trash" in one notable segment) and Dems in general
- Judy Woodruff, who is the biggest Bush whore. Who can forget that permanent look of disgust she had for ALL of the Democratic candidates (except Lieberman, but only because he's not really a Dem)?
- Wolf C.I.A. Blitzer, who acts more like a p.r. agent for Bush than a pretend journalist
- Candy Crowley, who also acted like an advocate for the Bush campaign in 2000, while a series of reporters bashed Al Gore every chance they had
- Paula "Flyboy Story" Zahn --
- Jeff Greenfield, who used to be a fair and credible journalist, but saw which way the wind was blowing and wanted his own show on CNN and commenced Dem-bashing every chance he got
Who else - Jack Cafferty!! Bill Hemmer, of course -- the list goes on and on. I actually think it might be easier to name the "journalists" or "news personalities" who pretend to be fair.

And let's see if the network allows far-left, outrageously outspoken liberals to critique Bush after another abysmal performance at the convention. I have a feeling the panel will include Peggy Noonan, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter and Michael Savage.

15. I don't know her name, but, this evening, she interviewed
two of the Unity journalists, including the gentleman who got * to say he was against legacy in college admissions.

She hooked onto this stupid theme of why journalists would give a bigger standing ovation to Kerry than they gave to *, and she would NOT let go. She was strongly put in her place by both of her guests- each twice, and still did not get what she wanted. Both guests told her that the audience was about half non journalists, and she didn't (want to ) hear that. She almost started to pout, then went to break.

It was great.

BTW- Is there even half a chance that the CNN journalists are allowed to speak their minds? I miss the old Ted Turner days, when he hired real journalists.

23. I saw that
I think her name is Heidi Something-or-other. She sure let her republicanism show tonight! It would have been funny if it wasn't so sad. She just DID NOT want to believe what Maria Jinahosa (sp?) and the guy from TX (forgot his name) were telling her about the Unity event. She almost sounded like she had been told by the White House to behave the way she did. And did you see when she had the two swift boat guys on--supposedly one against Kerry and one for him. Her first question had them both so confused they didn't know what to say.

He's irreverant and great to look at. According to Newsmeat, he donated money to a lone Republican years ago. Does anyone know what the political leanings of the Vanderbilts are?

24. I didn't know that Anderson Cooper was Gloria Vanderbilt's son.
I did watch a little CNN today. I thought Candy C sounded scared. Her tone and inflection when she was interviewing the Democratic guest was very different but not in the same haughty way I remember. She seemed scared. There is some part of her that knows Bush is going down. I can't imagine anyone in a Kerry administration giving her extra special treatment given her history. I wonder if these folks fortunes are tied to Bush and we will see less of them in the future. Hard to say.

26. seems like the question should be - Which ones are not pukes?
I don't pay that much attention to who is up - but my experience is usually like yesterday...

Whatever commentator was up - gave Bush* free reign - several minutes of watching his campaign or whatever speech with no commentary... then Kerry comes up - they let him get a few words in and then make derogatory comments and insert their spin.

If someone wasn't paying attention they might think they had just gotten equal coverage of the candidates when that was far from true.

31. Hairdo newsreaders vs. real journalists
For sheer numbers, there are more “hairdo newsreaders” than real journalists on CNN or any US televised media. They also have a good share of non-hairdo pundits masquerading as journalists. Neither category can be trusted for news.

Consequently, I don’t rely on ANY televised US news media for an objective report. I just don’t believe their interpretations of events. It’s sad that their allegiances are so transparent.
