STOP feeding Tweety and those like him..........
I just realized (dumb me) the game Matthews and these other whores are playing. It isn't a manic/depressive personality disorder or split peronality. It's playing jerks like us for fools!!! One day we cheer as they reveal to the world something we have been screaming about. Two days later they are covering for and promoting the Chimp. Don't you see their sick, self promoting and big salary getting ploy?? They get a bunch of "right-on, supportive e-mails" and letters from both sides to present to their bosses and their bosses present to sponsors to keep their pocketbooks filled with money. DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THEIR GAME. Turn them off. No one, but the political junkies like us who made up their minds long ago are watching. They are laughing all the way to the bank---and killing this country in the process and they don't care that they are doing so. They are no friend of us nor any person in this country be they right or left.

1. Yes...Mr. Tweety has been doing this for awhile. Some of us gave up on

him long ago. Others still find something there that they need to watch him. Hey, I'm not for "book burnings" or "Tweety singeings." But, as long as one keeps in mind that "Tweety twists in the wind" and blows "Left and Right" according to what his "producers" tell him that will fill his pockets with cash...then one is fore-warned, and fore-armed against his spinmeistering. :-(

2. I refuse to watch Tweety and
only rarely watch Russert. We are contributing to them if we watch. I won't watch because of their bias. (I last watched Russert during the * fest. Most of the time I don't watch.)

6. DU needs a new GD forum
Call it the "As Heard on TV" or some such moniker.

Cruising GD these days one is accosted with "tweety tweets this or olielly lies about that......"

If I wanted to listen to any of their BS I'd get cable, now wouldn't I?
Yet we have to wade through it here, day in and day out. These TV guys are plain whores and while I know some people like to listen, I think it would be better to give TV it's own slot, and I can once again be free of the idiocy.
GD is famous for the personal thoughts and feelings which so freely flow here. It's time to move the refried TV BS to it's own corner and thereby keep GD the purely personal one-to-one gathering place we all love it for, eh?

7. I think it's important to know how the other side is trying to
spin things. It's also valuable to know who our allies are and who is against us. I also think that when these whores get large numbers of people complaining it can have an effect. I think that is partly how the right wing has managed to shape the media coverage. They have been hammering the media for being "liberal" for years and I think the media hasw responded to that by tilting right, while most of those on the left have been complacent. Let's face it,until now the right has been much better organized and unified than we have, and I don't think we should cede cable news to them like we have done with the radio airwaves.

8. Good points, red
But what's wrong with putting those links in their own forum?

That way, if someone wants to follow up on what's being spewed on TV, they can click on over and get filled in.

GD, as DU grows, needs to be kept pure for the personal and original content it is famous for.
Befree...addicted to DU for close to three years now.....

9. I, on the other hand...
appreciate recapping of shows I cannot watch or don't have the time to watch myself.

I understand your point, but for me, at least, its extremely valuable.
I have a five year old son, and while he's awake we only watch cartoons, so I miss a lot of this information.
