Once upon a time: a BushCo fairytale
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 11:31 AM by linazelle
Once upon a time there was a really really (seriously, really) stupid man in charge of running the United States. This man was born with oil dribbling from his privileged mouth and was placed in the highest office of the land by his father's friends in the highest court of the land.

He could barely put two sentences together. The stupid man was unable to discern danger or to protect his country. He sat in a stupor when he was informed his country was under attack. He sent an army to one country when attacked by another country. Powerful media conglomerates and crazed media guns willingly covered up for him calling him the greatest leader ever. Tens of thousands died unnecessarily as a result.

The most powerful people in the land protected him and followed him because he changed all of the laws to protect their interests. So, when things looked good for the village idiot, the media blasted out patriotic messages. When things looked bad, they fell into a hush covering stories about rapes, sharks and bacteria. When things got really bad they unquestioningly trumpeted terror alerts night and day.

So powerful was he that anybody who stood up and pointed out the ugly truth about the stupid man was demonized, threatened or worse.

The people of the land were horrified. But their cries could not be heard from distant "free-speech" zones or polling places. Their unhappiness grew to a crescendo as job losses grew and corporate greed ran amuck.

They revolted en masse at the presidential election in 2004. The turnout was the highest ever. The citizens sent a mandate to the electorate that they were taking their country back. The stupid man left office...in, what else but a stupor. He was followed by the evil men who protected him during the reign of terror--the media whores, the misadministrators.

Now help me to finish the story.

What happened to:

*The Tin Man (If-I-only-had-a-heart Cheney)?
*Donald "Snowflakes" Rumsfeld?
*Paul "Spitshine" Wolfowitz?
*Laura "Pickles" Bush?
*Colin "The Artist" Powell?
*Condoleeza "ShakesHerHeadNoWhenShe'sSayingYes" Rice?
*"The Girls"?
*Sean "The Bully" Hannity?
*Rush "Cruiser-User" Limpballs?
*The Stupid Man?
*Anybody else you feel deserves a mention?
