Should America's largest private employer be allowed to do...
...this?!

Really...Is this acceptable?

To me it's bordering on criminal.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California paid an estimated $86 million in pubic assistance in 2001 because workers at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. earn such low wages, researchers said on Tuesday.

7. Can't speak for Cali but I've reviewed FTHB grants to WalMart...
...assistant managers making around $9 an hour.

FTHB is a "First Time Homebuyer" program financed by the HUD HOME Program for Low to Moderate Income people.

That's a direct Federal subsidy created by WallyMart.

Local governments oftentimes have their own programs plus programs like Emergency Rental Assistance or food banks.

WalMart is an expensive proposition for just about everyone but the lucky sperm (and matrimonial benefactors) of Sam.

6. Compare that with the business practices of Costco.
They actually pay their employees a living wage and allow them to unionize. They actually get ripped by business publications for not emphasizing profits over all others.
