Kerry B-Sticker - kidnapped at such a young age (1 day old)
I finally got a Kerry Bumper sticker on Saturday, put in on my back window, above the break light, on Sunday, and it was ripped off on Monday.

They tried to take the "Lets not elect bush in 2004 Either" sticker too, but it has ten months of permanence underneath - only a small tear.

I will . . sniff, sniff. . .move on.

1. Is That A Crime? What Would The Charge Be?
Theft? Vandalism? Violating freedom-of-speech?

Wouldn't it be great to prosecute someone for that?

2. I think some places have laws against destroying campaign literature
For example, taking stuff off doors, or stealing lawn signs. Bumper stickers might be included in those laws.

3. Bummer
But don't let them get you down. You can order a whole mess of bumperstickers at the Kerry website, keep a few for backups and hand out the rest. You'll keep them so busy trying to rip off stickers that maybe, eventually, they'll get caught.

4. When I bought my car it had window tint was partially falling off...
the back window. When I removed it, it left a clear sticky film on the window which I use to adhere my stickers to. I doubt (hope) that nobody will break my window to get at the sticker. I'm actually really surprised that the "evolve fish" that I have on my bumper has not suffered the same fate as my "darwin fish" which only survived two days.

Does anybody know if the Bush campaign gives out free stickers like the Kerry campaign did?? I'm thinking of getting a stockpile of them and then gathering friends to set them ablaze, but of course it is not worth contributing even the slightest amount for them.

5. I've been noticing the lack of Bush/Cheney 04 stickers
and I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with availability rather than lack of wingnut passion. I honestly believe Cheney is due for some last minute health problems, and that the stickers are simply not out there for the faithful to display.

That may be a contributing factor in the vandalism: sticker envy.
