The unannounced capture of a figure from Al Qaeda in Pakistan several weeks ago led the CIA to the rich load of information that prompted the terror alert on Sunday, according to senior American officials.

The figure, Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan, was described by a pakistani intelligence official as a 25-year-old computer engineer arrested July 13.....

The America officials said the new evidence had been obtained only after the capture of the Qaeda figure. Among other things, they said, it demonstrated that Qaeda plotters had begun casing the buildings in New York, Newark and Washington even before the attacks of 9/11....

So, if he was caputured over a month ago - why drag him out now. Why just now decide to announce terror threats?

These guys are so crooked - there is absolutely nothing they won't stoop to.

Nevermind that this information is ridiculously old as presented, and that we'll probably find out that it was all fabricated or overblown in six months. It serves a political purpose for the GOP in the here and now and that's all that matters.

I remember the adm. talking about financial institutions being targeted weeks ago. I especially remember the Stock Market. So none of this stuff is new.

was Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani.
