CNN question : Is terror alert a political ploy? The fact that this
question is even asked shows the lack of credibility of this White House. They played a few responses (1/2 on each side)

1. I agree. .
They are trying to gauge exactly how stupid people really are. That question tells me everything I need to know. I'm glad you have the stomach to watch it. I just can't.

2. I saw a short clip of Richard Clarke
on Canadian news (CTV I think), and he was saying that he did not believe that this alert was politically motivated.

I didn't catch the logo of where this clip was from, but I checked a few of the cable news web sites and could not find any interviews from today with him.

Did anyone else see Clarke on TV tonight?

aspect of all of this. This adminstration has made us all so cynical that we question threats of terrorism.

How ironic it would be if they were actually right on one of these and people blew it off because they had no faith in anything that came out of the mouths of this administration. The boy cried "Wolf" and then one day there really was a wolf.

Yes, there are people out there who want to kill us. Thanks to Bush that number grows daily. And also, thanks to Bush, people don't believe a damn thing that comes out of his administration.

We've got to get someone in there who we have faith in and can believe. People's lives depend on that.

4. My problem is. . .
that if they are going to give "terror warnings" then tell us something specific that we can do, as common people. We don't need to hear this over and over. Should everyone working in a major financial institution call off work tomorrow? Methinks a lot of them will. I want them to get the info, deal with it, and stop it, if it is valid. Not to just try to scare the Cheney out of the populace.
