1. Terror threat may be politics
Because Bush bases his campaign on terrorism and he is the only person who can get us through this. How much is politics and how much is threat. WOW!

Dean just added the weekend drama...

The Republicans are going to crucify him. Wait until the next guest...Mark Riacnott (sic), gets on; the sparks are going to fly.

Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 12:25 PM by madfloridian
He did not say it was bogus. He was careful with his words. It is time to speak up.

He was outstanding and it had to be said. Perfect answer.

Regardless of how Dean phrased it. BTW, I'm headed out to canvass this afternoon...it will be interesting to hear what NH people think of this.

But he is right, we know he is right, and that is important. Sometimes being right is important.

If you are apologetic for the truth, then we are in trouble in this country.

38. He said the president has said he is the only one who can make us safe.
So he politicized it himself, sort of those words. I can't wait for the transcript.

12. Sheesh!
Wolf: Terror! Terror! Terror!
Dean: Bush is playing politics with terror with no specifics.
(Wolf plays a Bush rally lie)
Dean: This is why the American People don't trust Bush.

Wolf dismisses him, then goes on to read the additional 3x5 cards assigned to him by General Rove, and gets all excited that Republican operatives are coming up next.

Then CNN plays a commercial advertising Bush's CNN bio. It says something like, "The Man, The President". Kerry's bio was advertised, "Who is John Kerry?" like he's a caught serial killer or something.

16. Racicot: "To even suggest that anyone would do that ..."
That's how the Pukes work: they do something outrageous, something beyond the pale, and then get all self-righteous -- "Why, to even suggest that anyone would do such a thing is ridiculous."

Fuckers.

22. Again, he may be "right too soon." But he is right. I salute him.
Now that he has said it, others will start experimenting with it. It will take wings, and he will take the brunt of the criticism. Then others can say it as well, and not get blasted as much.

32. I think we just saw an important thing happen.
I think a door was just opened. I think we have all been needing to hear it said out loud in public, and we should not let the door be closed by more fear.

He said it sensibly and clearly, did not accuse, was quite clear he was putting the burden on Bush.

40. He said everything we have been talking about here.
The fear, the way the alerts come at certain times, it was rapid fire. I taped it but will have to wait for the transcript for exact words.

CNN sometimes puts up videos. He did say Bush politicized it himself, by basing his campaign on keeping us safe.

41. Wasn't that super -- on two levels!!
One, we have to start speaking up just that "direct" way rather than the usual hair twisiting, thumbsucking, double speaking, not wanting to say anything outloud approach of most Dem talking heads. Second, it unglued Wolfe who is used to playing to hair twisting, thumbsucking, double speaking Democrats. You can't kill these whores unless you actually use bullets in the gun!!!!!!
