No bounce? CNN/Gallup trying to Bushit us again :50-47 Bush?
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 11:17 AM by TruthIsAll
That PNAC guy Schneider and Wolf are doing it again.

They are saying Bush is ahead 50-47 with likely voters.

They are full of Bushit! They are doing just what they have done since 2000, they are propping up Bush with bogus polls.

I believe Newsweek. I believe Zogby.

The whoremasters at CNN are not going to fool anyone.

Bush is TOAST.

1. They use likely voters.
Meaning folks that voted last time. Like Michael Moore said on Bill Mahr, however, they don't seem to realize that millions of people, especially young people, that didn't vote last time are now highly energized. This likely voter bs won't float this time.

14. There is no new poll on CNN or on Gallup - 7/21 has 49-47 Kerry
% GEORGE W. BUSH 47
% JOHN KERRY 49
July 19-21, 2004
Based on Likely Voters

2. CNN has moved to the right of Fox, who trusts them other than Bush?
The print Bush press releases as news and bash Kerry relentlessly.

4. Truth is All, do you remember
in 2000, how CNN handled poll results? I don't remember them ONLY showing their own poll results, and never reporting anyone else's numbers. If they didn't do that in 2000, why are they doing it now? It would support your idea that they are trying to mislead us.

7. somebody can bring up the 2000 polls, can't they?
wasn't Gallup among the very most outlying all the time, with WILD swings over very short periods of time?

wasn't Zogby, in the final analysis, the most accurate?

6. They poll "likely voters" all right....
likely voters who attend fundamentalist churches, likely voters who belong to swank country clubs, likely voters who post on FreeRepublic...those are the kinds of "likely voters" CNN seeks out for its bogus poll.

10. They pointed out a significant rise in 'energized' Republicans
What does that say about the sample they are looking at?

11. Why do they do that? I mean, how can they think that helps *?
Are they so far removed from reality that they do no understand that the polls reflecting * in the lead further fuels the drive of those who want * out? Also, repukes on the fence or uncertain will not go to the polls. "Why bother, * is ahead and a shoe in?"

It seems to me that it is a strategy that can only backfire.

12. This morning on CNN.......
I cannot remember which program but it was 9:30est or so. But they actually did some fairly honest reporting on the polls and the possible bounce.

They made reference to the poll they qouted as Jk being ahead 52% to 43% for *. They were also honest and mentioned that the poll was taken before Kerry's speech.

The guy they had on for the republican side was also pretty honest. He agreed that expecting a 15% jump was high balling it, he also was honest enough to say that * is in real trouble due to the new numbers showing job approval and is the country headed in the right direction.

Once and awhile the truth shines thru, i guess you just have to look hard for it.

13. Does anyone on this board know how they do these polls>
I read/heard that Newsweek did a 50/50 before and after with a small bounce

Read/heard that they needed a week until they get the valid result.

I read/heard that there was a 10% bounce, a 3% bounce, no bounce and now a negative de bounce.

WHAT?
