6. The Real Time factor and seeing Rep. Dreier and
Gov. Owens make huge fools of themselves. Bill Maher asked some very common sense questions, that those two shrub supporting GOP misfits refused to give common sense answers to. Dreier leaving before the end of the show spoke volumes. And Michael Moore did a fantastic job. I was also quite impressed with Former PM Kim Campbell (Canada).

3. Took my mom and her friend Friday night
My mom's retired from a small university in Southeast Texas (her friend still teaches there, in the Communications Dept.) and when they came back from their vacation, their city (population about 125,000) was no longer showing it.

So they drove over to Houston, we had dinner and then went to the show at the Landmark River Oaks.

They were shocked and saddened (Mom's words were: "I cannot believe the state of our country these days"). They were already convinced, but there was so much in it they they, not being Internet denizens and relying exclusively on the corporate media for their news, were taken aback (by the machinations of the Florida debacle, the Saudi influence on the Bushes, etc).

As for as me and Mrs. Dittie, well, we were madder and more determined after the second viewing than we were after the first.

12. No way can you watch the Woman who lost her son or Iraqi's
Without your eyes tearing up. That is the REAL verdict of the Iraq invasion, not all the silly ass nonsense that Bush and his thugs foisted on the unknowing....

5. It is outstanding that ...
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 11:59 AM by meti57b
F911 has made $108,461,000 and that is about 1/3 as much as Spiderman2 has made in about the same amount of time ($341,901,000)

Spiderman2 is supposedly the big hit movie and F911 is a "documentary"!! MM rocks!!

13. The only part Rep. Drier saw before he was stupid enough to attack it
Michael Moore exposed him for the true idiot he was. Pity the people of his district for electing such a moran.

17. MM great showing on Bill Maher's HBO show Friday night might of helped...
Edited on Sun Aug-01-04 12:40 PM by Zinfandel
F-9/11 will proably go over $130 million in the U.S. before it's released on DVD, with tons of "Special Features" and deeper hits about Bush's lies...before the early October release on DVD.

You think 130 million dollars plus, would of helped Disney's financial problems?

Disney got what they deseved...NOTHING!

19. It's the "second run bounce."
A lot of the theaters that opened it or picked it up its second weekend dropped it when it fell out of the top ten. That freed it up for discount theaters to pick it up.

A lot of people nowadays wait for movies to hit the second run theaters, which charge an average of $2-3 less per ticket than the first run places.

20. My daughter and one of her pals saw it last night. Thought it was GREAT!
We talked about it afterwards. They both looked like they were heavy with thought. The moment that hit her hardest? She kept talking about Lila Lipscomb's confrontation with that freeper-femme outside the White House fence - "it's STAGED! It's ALL STAGED!!" She said if it were her there instead of Lila Lipscomb, she would have punched that other woman's lights out. She was utterly horrified. She kept talking about that all evening.
