If the south and some midwestern states secede
expect a huge illegal immigration/refugee problem within 5 years. There's always been this part of me that wished the Confederacy was allowed to secede peacefully to prove once and for all to Americans what would happen if reichers ran a country un-checked. I mean, everyone knows about Nazis, but that was in Germany an ocean and the square-area of our mainland away. I think people would be much more aware if that kind of thing happened next door.

2. I say let them go this time around
If nothing else, a divided USA is less of a threat to the rest of the world.

6. Absolutely not. Nobody is going anywhere...
but I might be willing to give Texas back to Mexico...no just kidding. It isn't going to be easy, but we need to take the whole country back. The demographics are in our favor. Even Texas may soon be Democratic again, given the influx from South of the border.

If we can win this November, the GOP will be in disarray for a generation.

7. There's a great book out called "The Emerging Democratic Majority"
The premise is that the country is going through a long-term shift to a Democratic Majority, much the same as a Kevin Phillips book talked about the previous shift to the Republicans starting around 1969.

It's very optimistic, and really good, and he indicates that the shift is happening at all levels, i.e., national, state, & local.
Let's hope so, right.
