Last night in a popular restaurant:
Of the 6 people at our table, 5 are Kerry supporters and # 6 is soft for Bush*. Two switched from Bush* and are passionate for Kerry-Edwards.
The next table was a party of some sort, (16-20) and I overheard two young guys in their 20's talking about a party at their house to watch Kerry's speech. One guy said he works in NH and is on some local group that gets out the vote for Kerry. In my whole life I have never seen anything like this. Are the polls screwed up? OK by me if they are. Even my son who dislikes politics took me to see F-911!

are using an "old paradigm" in that many many people have registered to vote for Kerry, but won't show up in the "likely voter" lists.

the other thing i think is happening is that most of the 20somethings i know don't have a "home phone" to be polled, most use their cell phones exclusively
