Kerry should challenge Bush to a debate in August since.....
The Democratic Convention is over and the Repub Convention does not happen until August 29th, and rather than just traveling all over and talking to only supporters, they could have a televised debate between now and then. Since Bush is on also on vacation, this would not be a demand on either candidate.

1. I dont think there will actually be any debates at all
I think the TERRA! warning sytem will get kicked up a notch to code Ernie thereby creating a security problem so the debates will be canceled.

4. That is a good idea ....
That is a good idea ... but I also am tending towards the belief that Bush will try and get out of the debates.

It really is a tough spot for Bush. If he debates, he's going to get slaughtered. If he doesn't debate he looks like the dim witted coward that he really is. So what does Rove decide?

An external event, like a terror attack inside the country might get him off the debate hook. But, of course, that involves a conspiracy and misuse of government by Bush that is just too horrible to contemplate ... although I think they are perfectly capable of resorting to such a tactic.

We'll see what the polls show, if Bush somehow takes a big lead, he may just brush off the debates and take the political hit. If he is way behind, why risk the further damage?

On the other hand, Bush is such a meglomanic that he may believe he can debate and beat Kerry without even doing any preparation.

Time will tell.
