I proundly Protested Bush in MO today! 7 Free Speech Zones!
I am so pround of myself as I was called "baby killer" "demon" and told to "get a job". I am actually fairly conservative on abortion and work two part time jobs and am a student. Anyway, the police kept moving us to different locations. Once they let Bush supporters get real close and when all 200 of us tried to follow them, assuming equal rights, they made us go back. 4 or 5 people got arrested.

We chanted,"what does democracy look like?" "This is what democracy looks like!"

This was my first protest and it will not be my last!

3. Good for you!
I wasn't aware that Shrub was going to Springfield today until after he'd been and gone. For some reason, I didn't hear any announcement of it on KSMU (local NPR affiliate). I was with you in spirit, though. Thanks for the report on what happened!!
