remember the war on drugs? no one is talking about it. did we win?
or did we just say no? aren't there millions of political prisoners whose only crime is enjoying a good smoke?

aren't there still tons of cocaine flowing like a river over our borders? aren't poor people with a rock of crack still being given long sentences? don't senator's sons busted for meth still walking away scott free?

no one, on either side is talking about the once famous, but utterly forgotten war on drugs.

1. HAHAHAHAHAH!
"Did we win?"

That was great!

The war on drugs is a sham like all the other "Wars on stuff" that Repubs have started. Keeps a lot of people locked up who might otherwise vote!

5. The War On Drugs is still going strong. Reporting on it is just...
...not in fashion right now. The violence brought about by this War still makes the headlines daily, but that is about it. The abuse of the mandatory minimum concept is still rocking and rolling also.

10. those who win are those who profit
Poppy Bush comes to mind with both the "war on drugs" and "war on terra" ... I think he had a hand in setting up both 'profit centers' ... and, the Carlyle Group to manage it all ...

I liked the incorporated into the War on Terror response above.

13. war on drugs
I'm so happy the USA is setting records for prisoner population. I hope the War on Drugs doubles the prison population in the next five years.

I wish we had enough police to say, put 25 million people in prison like they deserve.

-85%
<its sarcasm>

18. NO! but you can bet there are billions is profits.
There are entire industries built-up over the 'drug war'. And just think, all that money being laundered has just the hint of blue collar crime. The war on drugs is as vapid as the war on terrorism. Some profit and some go to jail.
