Poll question: Rate tonight's Democratic Convention (C-Span version)
Was it a great night for the Dems or a poor one?

The actual convention, not the coverage by the media.

1. Great build up...
From Gore to Carter to Hillary to the Big Dog. I just hope the "swing voters" and those leaning toward Nader were watching!

2. Excellent
My husband and I watched it start to finish. Great night for the Dems. I don't know how they will be able to keep up momentum.

3. I've never seen a Democratic convention this FOCUSED
Very tight, very clean, very disciplined, very united -- plenty of pageantry, yet dignity when called for, and the usual party atmosphere as well.

There's a real sense of urgency this year, that I think we've never seen or felt before. It's an emergency, and we're going to get it done.

EXCELLENT convention (and Jimmy Carter just blew me away!).

4. Great
Loved the Tribute to Women Senators
Loved the Input from ordinary Americans from around the country
cried at the speech by the woman who lost her daughter, son in law and grandchild on 9/11.
thought Carter was amazing.

5. CSPAN was great !!
It was like a live concert
No commercials, no idiotic punditry, just hard rock

6. Unmediated information presentation. Got to love it.
I don't need a bunch of assholes telling me what to think.

Of course, I'd love an evening with all my favorite liberals and public intellectuals mediating, but that's just a fantasy I have.

If I can't have that, I'll take no mediation at all.

7. This is how news events need to be covered
Like a good play, movie, or opera...there might be the occasional lull to catch your breath--but otherwise unimpeded rapture.
