Tweety is a real jaggoff, he just said
"Dean stated today, that he has been calling for the effort in Iraq to be internationalized from day one, and after the bombing he is calling for it once more"......."I guess noone told Mr Dean that the UN was the target, if they target the UN that proves internationalism wont work"

Hey Asshole, maybe Dean means International peace-keeping troops-that restore water and electricity, that allow the Iraqis to form their own government, that allow Iraqis to own their own OIL......as opposed to Emperor Bremer's "iron-fisted" dictatorship.

What an absolute fuck wad Tweety is, HUGE propagandist.

3. Why even ask?
I'm counting the days before Blondie gets permanent admission to the Betty Ford Clinic!

2. Actually
This is one of the rare occassions I agree with Tweety. They don't want any infidels from any country there.

I agree with Dean that he has to make the statements because they will be popular. He gets a pass from me because i support him and I know he was one of the few who opposed the invasion to begin with. If he is elected, I don't know how he will deal with this quagmire. Its a guerilla war and we will win, not us or any "international community".

4. i disagree with that
The Iraqis are not stupid, if the US pulled out and they saw a real chance at self-determination, control of their own country and resources, you can bet the Gerrilla war would cease.

I give the Iraqis a hell of alot more credit than that, the only way your position would be valid, would be if the UN was so corrupt and heavy handed as to be no different than Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and Bremer..i find that hard to believe.

8. We'll see what happens.
My fervent hope is that you are right and that the U.N. will be able to do what they need to do (if smirk will get out of the way).

However, my fervent hope and the culture and traditions of Iraq may not agree.

I'm thinking they may believe that after the last 15 years they've had just about enough "help" from the west and they might prefer to do it on their own.

5. It would figure that a Dem will have to clean this up...
Which is probably impossible.

We have yet to know the disastrous consequences that this war will bring down upon us.

I suspect it will be the end of this nation....

God help us all.....:(

6. The UN has been effective before
and have been known to request only troops of certain ethnicity to go into trouble spots. So a UN force working solely on restoring the infrastructure and policing hooliganism could work, especially if the nations providing the troops are Muslim nations.

9. I'm not dissing the U.N.
I hope that they will allowed to be given a try. Biggest roadblock right now is Smirk.

They have been successful in other very difficult situations.

I'm afraid that Iraq is saying we've had enough "help" thank you. Infidels should go home.

The biggest blunder of the entire screw-up, aside from deciding to do it in the first place is a gross lack of knowledge of their culture.

7. Tweety is a professional cynic. It's the only thing he can embrace and be
seen as 'somewhat' balanced. Piss off one side on Monday, do the same to the other side on Tuesday, next day support both, and for the rest of the week just slide into virtual solipcism and try not to offend anybody. Which rarely works, but somewhere along the line, everyone will find a moment to praise him or damn him.

He's the political equivalent of a true bisexual.
;-)
