So now we have these yellow magnetic ribbon thingys
People are putting yellow magnetic ribbons on their cars in support of the troops. Today on the 5:30 Channel 6 evening news heard on the radio, they interviewed a woman who had SIX yellow ribbons plastered on her car when she went into a store and had NONE stuck to her car when she came out. So she was interviewed by a reporter and she was so UPSET! She said she hoped the person who took them had trouble sleeping and that she expected that "what goes around will come around" for the perpetrator. The reporter wrapped it up with a comment that it was unknown if the thief was an anti-war person or just someone who wanted the yellow ribbons for him/herself.
The whole story sounded fishy. How did this woman happen to get in touch with the news station? Why did the station think it was news? Should I have called my local stations about the key job I got (hood and trunk) a month after I put a NO2W bumper sticker on my car? Will they broadcast me whining about "what goes around comes around??"
It was a horrible story. Here's a thought for that indignant woman: how about supporting our troops by getting * out of the WH and the troops out of Iraq? Huh?
