I'm lucky enough to live in a city that has a great diversity of movies...
Tonight I saw the movie Control Room...which is basically a view of the beginning of the Iraq War from the control room of Al Jazeera...
It's not an argument that the are not biased, though I was mpressed with how honest they are (they express their view, but when they had an American on there who seemed like an extremist, the boss guy got really bad, because he wanted people who had real information on there, not the extremists)...its really an argument that there is a different point of view out there, what we see is not what they see...that while we may foolishly associate Iraq with 9-11, they associate the "collateral damage" with the Israeli-Palestinian conflist...even the mdeia guy for the US military realized it, if only our political leaders would...
It's not so much eye opening for me...but it would be for people like my parents, who automatically think that everyone thinks like we do...it is not entertainment to the extent that MIchael Moore is, its straight documentary, and I enjoyed it more because of that...
