Okie Senate candidate supports death penalty for "abortionists"
-snip-

On the death penalty, he said: "I favor the death penalty for abortionists and other people who take life."

10. Will he accept being executed?
Well, he favors execution for anyone who takes life. What the hell is an execution then? These idiots don't even glimpse their own ludicrous circular logic.

19. My God,
where do we get these people. Please believe me, there are a great many sane people in my home state and I think we're getting louder. I hope we are anyway. Let's hope Carson can pull it off. Let Humpries, Coburn and Anthony spend all their money whipping each other over who's the absolute, mostest biggest Christian. :puke:

3. Wooohoo!
"Under the mores we live under today, my lineage wouldn't exist," Coburn said, explaining that his great-grandmother was raped by a territorial sheriff.

...Ladies of Oklerhoma, kwitcherbitchen, and Bear your rapists' children-- it's good for the future!

9. I have a friend who calls himself pro-life
we were discussing Iraq recently and he said the only way to deal with the situation is to start dropping MOAB bombs. I guess that pro-life thing only counts with abortion.

The world would be a better place if that territorial sheriff's spawn had ended with him.

So, after you execute the 'abortionist', who executes the executioner? After all, he just took a life...

23. Endless progression...
After we execute the executioner, the executioner executioner would need to be executed... and the last person in the United States would be required to execute himself...

11. Excuse me, but fuck Coburn
Maverick? He's just another asshole pandering to get RW votes so he can assume his own type of personal power by being an elected official. He admits to having performed two abortions himself; so what does that make him? Oh, I suppose since the two he admits to were for "good reasons" he holds himself exempt from any wrongdoing. In his grandmother's time chances were that she would have died from a botched abortion. Damn these "pro-lifers" to the seventh hell.

12. That's my view of this guy ...
So I wonder ... will Oklahoma trade Nickels for Coburn or will the citizens wake up and elect the Democrat?

17. Carson's got a good shot
The GOP has a three-way race for the nomination, and it's getting pretty ugly. (Always fun to watch them eat their own.) It's likely there'll be a runoff for the GOP nod.

Brad Carson, on the other hand, will get through the dem primary relatively unscathed. Carson's far from perfect, but it would be nice to have a Dem Senator from Oklahoma again.

was representing 'christian' values

there's a strange primary fight going on in the republican party here

20. It is strange
But I like watching them self destruct. :)

To be honest, I'm not sure why the RW heavy-hitters threw all their weight behind Humphreys. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did, b/c this primary will help the relatively uncontested Carson, but strategically speaking, I think the GOP made a mistake there. It's not like he was the most popular mayor in OKC history ...

21. Doesn't anyone understand why they do this?
Why would a repuke propose a law that he must know will never pass?

Could it be because it gets his name in the papers so the religious freepers can like him, while the defeat proves to those freepers that the nation really is controlled by a bunch of homo-loving liberal elitists?
