In 50 years will it matter more that
A candidate was late to challenge the war, was soft on guns, pick your issue….

Or will it matter that in 2004 Paul Wolfowitz was appointed to Secretary of State.

Visualize the world if these men get more power.

Absolutely the most important thing for the future of the world is to defeat Bush.

1. or that (insert neocon pig here) was made a supreme court justice...
or that (insert neocon pig here) was selected to the court of appeals,

etcetera, ad nauseum.

THANK YOU so very much for identifying ONE MORE TIME the crux of this election: the defeat of the FASCISTS before they make the next revolution bloody and inevitable.

2. This is why I am working for my candidate,
refusing to smear/attack other candidates, and encouraging others to do the same on both counts.

Bush is the one who deserves our full ire and activism.

3. Maybe, but ...
In the course of my lifetime, this country has moved steadily in a certain direction. Democratic presidents have slowed that movement down slightly, while Republican presidents have accelerated it. But under every administration we have moved inexorably towards the hellhole in which we find ourselves right now.

I don't want another Democratic president who will do no more than cushion the movement towards a fascist, imperial America. I want to see someone who will turn things around and get them moving in the opposite direction.

I might eventually be persuaded to vote for any Democrat who is nominated, on the grounds that it would at least be better for the rest of the world if we had a president who won't nuke the planet when it becomes obvious that the world is slipping out of American control. But I sure won't be happy about it.
