Do The Famous Walk Among DU?
Listening to Janeanne Garofalo on CNN inspired me to once again wonder if some progressive celebs walk among us here at DU. Of course, we have our known heros such as Bev Harris and Will Pitt, but do you wonder if Garafalo or Franken visit DU? What about on the political front? Would you guess that any heavy hitters vist or post here? Any of the candidates, perhaps?

Who would be your guess for celebrity, politician, pundit, or otherwise famous figure who lurks or posts on DU?

I don't mean to be rude, VermontDem, but I think you meant to say, "I saw David Cross..." Wouldn't normally have mentioned this, but I've tripped across the "I seen" in your posts before and it drives me a wee bit crazy.

Okay, more than a wee bit.... ;)

60. Yes, you're right...
I am quite picky about grammar but pointing that out in this instance was rude. I do, however, still "give a shit" and will most probably continue to be picky about the written word.

My apologies to VermontDem, but for you I can only offer, "Have a nice day." :)

26. Skip Fox, captioneer extraordinaire, is famous
He wrote a brilliant analysis with his student Jack Gillis of the Monica Lewinsky "talking points memo" to show that it could not have come from the White House. Skip is a Shakespeare scholar, I believe, and in any case, he applied textual analysis to destroy right wing spin alleging that Vernon Jordan or Bill Clionton himself wrote the document.

Skip is a hero.

Especially during the "drumming up to war" early in the year. Always seemed like someone would say something funny here and it would show up on Stewart's show. I remember feeling horribly flattered that he or his writers might show up here on occasion. It's a good crowd to be hanging with.
