"...Rumsfeld's blustery testosteronics..." (TIME; 7-5-04)
Plenty More to Swear About, by Joe Klein (Time, 7-5, pg 21)

"And the White House was forced to acknowledge that defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had approved .... the use of dogs, nudity, stress positions -- that is torture -- against enemy combatants. Indeed, Rumsefeld, who works at a stand-up desk, indicated a desire for at least one more strenuous stress position: 'I stand 8-10 hours a day,' he scrawled on a memo. 'Why is standing limited to 4 hours?'

"Presumably the Secretary of defense doesn't do his standing naked, surrounding by hostile guards and attack dogs. But then, Rumsfeld's blustery testosteronics are at the heart of what has gone wrong with the Bush foreign policy -- and last week the assorted temper tantrums appeared to be a leading indicator of a gathering summer storm confronting this presidency."

Yep, folks, we're in for an entertaining summer. The administration is falling apart.

3. Leading indicator of a GATHERING SUMMER STORM?
He knows something's about to break wide open, doesn't he?

How widespread is the anticipation of possible Plamegate indictments in the newsrooms of the mainstream media? Anyone have any Drudge-like insights into this?

8. H2O Man how the hell do you know that
Rumsfeld doesn't stand naked, surrounded by hostile guards and attack dogs? I think he probably salivates thinking about Condi and Asscroft role playing this scenerio and he being whipped into obedience. H2O Man I think you presume too much, you presume these people are sane.

11. ***Note: the quote is from Joe Klein!
Sorry no link -- my wife gets TIME, and I must say it has blistering ant-bush articles, considering it is a "mainstream" magazine.

Klein goes on to quote the "anonymous author" of "Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terrorism." Klein notes the author was the former chief of the CIA "station" that was focused on OBL. He calls the invasion of Iraq "an avaricious, premeditated, unprovoked war against a foe who posed no immediate threat..."

Klein goes on to say the CIA sources he enjoys tell him that there is "intense anger" not only about their belief that "Tenet was strong-armed by Cheney and Rumsfeld into overassessing Iraq's WMD capacity," but "over the White House's revealing the identity of Plame, who may have been active in a sting operation involving the trafficking of WMD components. ..... 'Only a very high-ranking official could have had access to the knowledge that Plame was on the payrol' of the CIA, an intelligence source told me." (Time; 7-5-04; pg 21)

Thus said, Hoping4Change, we will see this administration standing naked before the American public pretty soon. Oh, let's say 7-14!!!

12. Rum looks real weird lately

Have you noticed that in the last week he has lost his comfortable look?
He looks like he is going to shit bricks with that fake smile.

I think he knows the writing is on the wall.
