5. Betcha Wes Clark gets in some Iraq zingers; he's been lethal lately.
And Sen Sloberts is intel committee, home of brewing doom for WH, but he could be showing up for some other area of apologies with which I'm not familiar.

8. Yep, last week the CA recall circus, this week the blackout
What will happen next week to keep Iraq out of the news until September? Back to the recall? Or something new?

2. I can't watch those things anymore
Even when they have someone whose views I want to hear, they ask such inane questions or steer the conversation away from real issues I just can't take it. I'll stick to the net, thank you very much.

3. Where's Arnold?
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 12:20 AM by madaboutharry
Looks like Iraq is yesterday's news as far as Sunday is concerned. But the absence of Arnold S. is rather striking. Last week it was all Arnold all the time. I think he is going to fade quickly.

9. The Wedding Cake Guy Is Standing in for G.E.RUSSERT
Brian "The Wedding Cake Guy" WILLIAMS is ably picking up the mantle of tough-on-Dems/easy-on-Repukes for G.E. He has tried battering BUSTAMANTE (who did very well, better than I expected) while letting SIMON off smoothly.

12. Abraham unloads crock...
says "we need to have electricity rates high enough to "incentivize" (don't you just love that word?) providers to be able to maintain the grids."

Oh Holy Bejeebers... like extra high rates are going to motivate them to keep up the equipment. The only thing that gouging the customers is going to do is "incentivize" them to pad their wallets. Period!

OOOHHH, how I loathe these *ssholes!!!!

13. Williams let Abraham
off the hook about the GOP's failure to provide money to modernize the energy grid. There was no mention of the the failure of the GOP House to pass the Farr Amendment for $350M to fund improvements to the power transmissions systems, with the Bug Man, Tom Delay, referring to warnings regarding the grid as "demagogary."

15. While the Outage Was Going, RICHARDSON
Bill RICHARDSON was ALL OVER the media whore outlets: Why? As the FORMER Energy Secty, he was being used as a TOOL to smear the CLINTON Administration with having done nothing.

All ex-CLINTONers should STAY OFF the air at times like that and let the GLARING VACUUM of the Shrubbites be the void on the air. Where was this ABRAHAM doofus?-----why "on a business-related trip overseas" and "due to the time difference, probably asleep" when it was happening. Asleep at the switch.

This Mal-Administration is always missing: At any given time, one can ask, "Where's (POWELL, SHRUB, CHEENEE, THOMPSON, et al."

10. Late Edition looks like the one to watch-
The next President of the United States- Wesley Clark, Arianna Huffington, a Saudi foreign policy advisor, terrorism guy, and Abraham&Granholm...

It looks like Wolfie wants to cover all the bases- Iraq, California Recall, Power Blackout, and election 2004.
