Moore's next documentary should be strictly about the media
He should team up with the likes of David Brock to show how they manipulate mainstream messages. There's a post here that GDP fell from 4.1 to 3.9% but was announced at 4.4% to show growth--then revised downward later in "error." There's so much material available for him. I hope he does it.

2. Yep...HMO's should be trembling in their shoes!
I heard him say it when he was doing a series of satellite interviews on Friday.

3. The thing is,
criticism of the mainstream media is pretty much implicit in all of his films. It was certainly a strong part of f911. No matter what topic he tackles he can hammer away at the credibility of the mainstream news media bit by bit.

6. That's true.
If the media were doing their job, would there be a need for Michael Moore's documentaries?

5. Fortunately, the subject is covered by FAIR, Al Franken, and Media Matters
Fortunately, we already got a lot of that from FAIR, Al Franken, and Media Matters for America.

7. I think our "culture of incarceration" would be a good topic.
The prison economy. Disproportionate sentencing for minorities. Privatization. Justice system. etc.

9. While Moore slams the media during interviews on F/911 and Franken

et al also cover the issues, the reach and the permanency of film (ie DVD and redistribution) make it much more important than other forms of fleeting media.

There's still a big opportunity to put all of the puzzle pieces together--to educate America about media consolidation, the incestuous ties, and the RW control and lies. This would be a huge task but when and if it is done, I think it will open even more eyes to the fact that we need to do more than exterminate the house on Pennsylvania Avenue in '04. The media control fight will take years to win.
