Richard Morrison for Congress - Challenger to Tom Delay needs our support
I just donated $10 to Mr. Morrison's campaign. Anyone who can donate, now is a great time to do so, he is on a push to raise $10,000 in two weeks and has raised over $8,000 in 24 hours! Let's show him he has our support in chucking out one of the worst congresspersons out there!

From a mailing i received from his campaign:

Put on the Gloves and Step into the Ring with Me, We're Taking On Tom DeLay

This campaign has been going great guns for the last few months -- since April 1 over 1,588 Americans have contributed to my campaign to unseat Tom DeLay.

Today we're starting an online fundraising drive to raise $10,000 in the final days before the end of the quarterly reporting period. We're off to a great start and need to your help to make our goal. Please click the link below and contribute to my campaign. Your $10, $20, $50 or $100 will make a difference.

It's been a very exciting few months, the campaign has been featured on the front page of the Houston Chronicle, on Channel 2 news, Air America and CNN has just interviewed Richard. Last week the Austin insider newsletter the Quorum Report said that this is becoming a "national campaign."

But as we come to the close of the second quarter of the year we'll file reports with the FEC. The big money donors and PACs watch those filings closely when they decide which challengers have a realistic chance to win. I need your help to make a strong case that we can beat Tom DeLay.

We're mounting the first serious challenge DeLay has ever faced -- our poll numbers are promising, we've already raised more money than all the previous challengers to DeLay combined, and people are saying our grassroots "volunteer base is enviable for even the most incumbent Congressman."

This hasn't gone unnoticed, DeLay is already starting to campaign and he's even opened a second campaign headquarters in the district. He hasn't had a single HQ in the district in years. We're tying him down in his home district so he's less able to raise money to be used in other congressional and state house races.

And thanks to the bravery of Rep. Chris Bell, DeLay now faces serious charges of bribery, money laundering and extortion at the Ethics Committee of the US House of Representatives.

Please get in the ring with me against Tom DeLay, "the most corrupt politician in America." Your $10, $20, or $100 will make a difference.

2. It's as important to get rid of DeLay
as it is to get rid of the chimpchump.

Morrison can beat DeLay, but he needs bucks to do it. Just made my third donation to him - can't really afford it - but did it anyway.

Save the USA - beat DeLay.
