2. None of the above
I believe the 1st amendment is about protecting free speech not censoring it.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING CHANGE THE STATION.

Yes, the FCC will selectively drive Howard Stern off the air, while ignoring similar discussion on the "Oprah" show.

4. Yes, unfortunately, I think they will
Even though the fines are obviously like a few pennies to a billionaire corporation, they will cave in (caving if not already a covert part of the process to begin with).

Things, they are a'changin'

Off hand, I can't think of anything more profane or obscene than the little bits of Limbaugh and his Satanic offspring, Coulter,Hannity,Savage, et al, that I've heard.

6. different perspective
I am active in trying to re-democratize a small local community station that has lost its way. One of the current management's excuses for not doing much relevant progressive type programming is the FCC fear factor. The last bastion of community voice is being silenced by these kinds of rulings and the fear they engender. We no longer do any kind of call in shows, there has been censorship of music and the volunteer programmers using this as an excuse. Its a good excuse too. One fine would wipe us out. So while I could care less about the clear channesl chaving to pay, I worry about my little station. These fines DO affect the voices of dissent.
