Just called the local Art Movie house in Orlando about Fahrenheit 9/11
They told me the weekend is sold out for their membership seats and that the regular tickets are almost as well. They were a bit disappointed that Central Florida's biggest chain, (Regal) has picked up the movie but they still expect it to be their biggest movie ever.

3. And it WILL be playing at the Oaks Theatre (Pittsburgh area)
Edited on Tue Jun-22-04 03:05 PM by Divernan
This is a great old Art Deco theatre in Oakmont, PA (suburb of Pittsburgh) which plays a lot of foreign films and old classics. It was initially on the list of theatres for the opening weekend, and then "disappeared" from the list. I was concerned management might have caved to political pressure. I just talked to them, and they hope to know by next Monday when they can schedule it. Said the cancellation was due to confusion on the part of the distributor and that they were definitely looking forward to showing it. Last I heard, the only place the film was scheduled for in the Pittsburgh area for next weekend was a theatre in Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh. Think I'll go there opening weekend, cause I can't wait to see it, and then see it again at the Oaks, just to support them.
