Howard Dean just impressed me!
I saw a clip on MSNBC of Gov. Dean playing guitar and harmonica at a blues club! Whoa! You mean the dude is cool too????

I'm impressed (tongue slightly in cheek). A real Clinton moment (as in, the sax on Arsenio).

I guess I'll have to pay more attention to his policy issues now.

:-)

1. So you could tell he knew what he was doing?

4. Well, it was a short clip ...
I'd think higher of him if I knew for sure he was playing a Martin. But he seemed to know what he was doing! I've always said, Pukes have no soul, definitely can't dance, and can barely play a stereo (with the possible exception of the late Lee Atwater, who played a mean Strat and who had a deathbed repentence experience). Howard gets at least a point or two in my book for that! Is that shallow? Perhaps. But hey, my prior perception was that Dean was a stiff, sullen, so-and-so. Now that's changed. And maybe that's a good thing.

3. I saw Kerry playing guitar
on Cspan the other day, I was really impressed. Did you know he used to hang out with John Lennon?

6. That's funny, since Lennon could never decide where he stood politically
either. ;-)

5. Yep, cool too.
:-)

Here's a link to the blog entry for this, with a few links to "reviews" of the occasion, if you're interested. I think there's also some links to clips -- probably posted in the Comments.

I was surprised to read he's never had lessons.

LOL -- I was also surprised he was such a risk taker since I'm sure he doesn't get much chance to "practice."

So go ahead and check out his policies. I think you'll like them if you remember that he's a pragmatist AND a visionary (read his June 23 Announcement speech!), but then I'm biased.

13. Finally found it
Thanks!

What a hoot!

I think I am falling in love.

I got an email from a friend of mine today telling me she wants to organize a Meet Up in our small town. She is 72 and a very determined lady.
