Now that you awesome people helped me find the picture I was
looking for, I am wondering if any of you might have an idea for a caption. The picture is of a man holding a little girl killed by one of our bombs. I need something relatively short. Right now, I have: "Another freed Iraqi" but I'm not really satisfied. Anybody have any ideas?

5. Yes, I think "collateral damage" hits a cord (the OK bombing)
Remember the outrage of Americans at the guy who did the OK bombing to his response to a question about how he felt about all the children getting killed in that bombing? He said something about "collateral damage," and that was brought up in his trial.

So I think it hits home. Shows how both situations are collateral damage, though only one is of OUR children. And might help w/empathy of THEIR children.

13. That would make a stark visual impact...
the two pictures side by side with the quote from Kimmitt about "collateral damage" under the picture of the Iraqi girl and the quote from McVeigh about "collateral damage" under the picture of the girl from the Oklahoma City bombing.

10. Thanks for sharing that Don some people can't handle the truth
of what we are doing to innocent human beings in order to support our own gluttonous lifestyles.

8. I like "got freedom?" and "collateral damage" so far..
though I think collateral damage might encourage freepers that it's somehow okay.

a song will always stick in the mind far longer than a caption.

12. Just as a possible correction. . .
. . . IIRC, the little girl in the picture wasn't killed. I think there's a DU thread in the archives about her. She did lose her feet and was eventually fitted with prostheses.

Of course, I could be wrong.

But the comparison to the picture of the baby -- I looked her up; her name was Baylee Almon -- killed in OKC is so mind-numbing. .. .. .

what hateful, evil bastards these booshies be.
