Bush is to blame for the beheading as much as Saddam is to blame
for our killings.

4. Saddam was responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths
That shouldn't lead us to believe that our own killings in Iraq are anyone's fault but our own.

Likewise, the beheading of Mr. Johnson in Saudi Arabia should not be seem as a direct result of our aggressions and killings in the region. They are the direct result of the actions of the killers.

3. What were missing her is that Bush started a *war of choice*
Not a war of necessity.

5. I wouldn't therefore suggest that the killers were then free to murder
civilians in Saudi Arabia in response.

The killers had choice also. What was the necessity in beheading Mr. Johnson?

7. Of course they did. But they are not the President of the most powerful
nation on earth.

Those of us who KNEW this quagmire would result, have a hard time not noting that fact.
