New TBTM Flash: 'Flipper!'
Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 03:13 PM by americanstranger
As part of the rollout of the new TBTM, Sym and i both have new flash animations up.

Sym's deals with Reagan, mine deals with Bush.

Next time someone tells you Kerry is a flip-flopper, send 'em the link to 'Flipper.'

And sign up for an account while you're there!

Cheers,

1. That was beautiful
I believe I will make through another Kerry-bashing day knowing I can watch that over and over. Thanks!

2. Awesome.. but
I loved it. I would have loved it more if at the end it cited some sources and if John Kerry's name wasn't spelled john Kerry.

3. the link for American Progress at the end...
...is a link to their 'Flip-Flopper in chief' page.

It's all there, just click the link.

I'll fix the typo later, nit-picker. ;)

4. Ahhh
I see it now. I personally wasn't too concerned about it, but I have moderate friends who are picky about proper sourcing of such things. I don't blame them.

Sorry for picking the nit. :yourock:

5. NP
I'm just clownin' over here. I'm so jacked that we finally got the new site launched.

Maybe I'll highlight that link so it's more obvious...

6. I hope they're as cautious
about claims made by Bush. Just about every single one of his ads is at least misleading.

8. Department of Nitpicking checking in here
Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 04:01 PM by KamaAina
The original "Flipper" was set in the Florida Keys. There are no mountains in the Florida Keys. There are, in fact, no mountains within hundreds of miles of the Florida Keys -- yet there they are in the background of the new "Flipper"!

In symbolman's, Bush* is from Connecticut, not "Conneticut" (as, once, was KamaAina). There are also a couple of places where some text hangs around for an extra slide or two (SEA=Southeast Asia, that is, the money spent on the Vietnam War).

I forget which one had an extra space in "Reagan Revolution", so I guess I'll ring off now...

K-A
Special Agent in Charge
Dept. of Nitpicking

Edit: The closest mountains to the Florida Keys, as it happens, are in Cuba. Surely you don't mean to suggest that...

7. Good. One suggestion.
The one about Chalabi troubles me. The administration claims they didn't know he was a spy (past history notwithstanding). So to call discovering he was a spy and searching his residence a "flip flop" may be seen as unfair.

9. Good, but it moves too slow
so I didn't watch the whole thing. But then, I guess I read faster than your average freeper
