Everybody needs to CHILL OUT ; re:F9/11
I have just visited the websites of two of the biggest cinema chains, Regal and AMC. BOTH chains have the film on their sites as a "coming soon" film and AMC is even offering early ticket sales. Everyone is far too paranoid about this. The film is going to open, it will get lots of attention the first weekend, but after that things will calm down and the fascists trying to infringe upon our freedom to see what we want to see will have been defeated. Anyone who wants to see it will be able to, just like any other movie. I am confident of this. So please, stop posting these rumors. If you have solid facts to back up any story that theatres are bowing to pressure, that's one thing, but to continually post rumors is not responsible, so CUT IT OUT!! Thank you.

1. That is easy for you to say!

Since, I will guess from your Yankees avatar image (I'm a Yankee fan too since I am originally from NY!), that you are from New York....it will be easy to see the film there...some people on this board are not from a place close to such a metropolitan area and many theaters in these more rural areas have not yet committed to showing the movie. I suspect, though, that once such theaters not committed yet, see the ticket sales at the theaters that will have already been showing it, they will want a piece of the action and show the movie.

I am living in Los Angeles, and I will obviosuly be able to see the movie without any problem though.

2. closest city to me is Montgomery
It's about 100 miles I think. I'll go. But so many people won't because "it's so far away."

4. Actually, no
I live in SoCal, but do have access to the large cinema chains. I think that this is all going to blow over as soon as the film opens. Rural areas are often slow in bringing new films to those areas, and I don't think this one is any different. But I'm sure, as you say, once the word of mouth starts about how provocative the movie is (not to mention profitable) smaller cinemas owners will start showing the movie. Besides, I don't see why people in rural areas can't take a trip to the city, so to speak, and go see the movie. I'm sure most do for other reasons, why can't they do it for this one? I'm sorry but I still fail to see why everyone is getting their knickers in a twist. These assholes will fail at this boycott attempt, and anyone who can't manage to see the movie at the cinema will surely get to once it comes out on video/dvd. Much ado about (almost) nothing, IMO.

3. YEAH NO SHIT...CHILL THE FUCK OUT
Go to your state forums and find local DUers to meet at the opener. We have already purchased tickets and will be meeting each other in PERSON up here in the Midwest.

I suggest you guys in other states do the same. Once you buy your tickets, go to http://www.moveonpac.org/f911/ and sign the petition to tell the freepers that WE WON'T BACK DOWN.

The momentum is going our way, people.

5. OK,good post.
So why is there all the hysteria? Everyone that wants to see it will have the chance one way or the other.
This getting as silly as the fools that camp out for other movies. I doubt that it has anything in it that I don't know about.
I hope it is a success, but having to see it when it opens is getting really juvenile.

7. Yes you did
Only half a dozen threads screaming out that "F9/11 PULLED FROM THEATRES!!!!" It's stupid. I read the news too and I have yet to find a story that backs up all of these rumors.
