keeping the 911 Commission reports out of the hands of the DNC?
He said that they were try to keep the report out of the hands of the DNC because of the use of the report against the President during an election year. I believe that was on Anderson Coopers show. Has anyone heard when the report will become public?

I understood him to say they are working hard because they want the report out well in advance of Democratic Convention hoping that
it will not become a political football.

By getting it out to public early the media will have covered everything and hopefully it will not be remembered that much at election time.

5. Anderson Cooper Transcript 6/17/04

THOMPSON: Final report will be out before July 27. That is our deadline to go out of business then but we're trying to get it out early to keep it away from the Democratic convention and keeping it out of the presidential campaign. Whether we can do that or not, I don't know.

COOPER: Well, we'll see about that. I know it's been a long day for you, Governor Thompson, I appreciate you being with us.
