3. Is it possible to get a police report?
Did he have an alibi? Seriously, he was a United States Congressman. Kind of hard to just disappear.

How do I know? I wrote the story for Larry Flynt, have researched this death for months, and I have copies of both reports. They have been shown to NUMEROUS coroners. They ALL say the "cause of death" given by Michael Berkland is medically impossible. There is absolutely no way that she died in the manner Berkland suggests. She was murdered, plain and simple. BTW, Berkland has since been FIRED from his job in Florida, just as he was fired as a coroner in Missouri. The guy is a tool.

As to Joe.... really fishy. He runs for reelection and wins. Then SIX MONTHS later he resigns, but puts it out there that the Bushies owe him big time for his "help" with the Florida selection. He asks for either a cushy Government appointment or a TV gig. Less than a year later he is hired by MSGOP.

Is Joe Scarborough a murderer? I doubt it. Everything we've dug up shows that he was in D.C. at the time of the murder.

I think of it more as a "Godfather"-type horse-head-in-the-bed. A warning of some sort. I'm not sure we'll ever know who killed Lori Klausutis, but she was very clearly murdered... INSIDE Joe Scarborough's office.

And, thanks to Michael Berkland, we'll probably never know who killed her.

BTW, for those curious: There is a hand-written notation on the Police Report that says Lori K. was flying to D.C. to interview for.... get this.... Chandra Levi's job. Chandra Levi was in charge of Press contacts regarding the execution of Timothy McVeigh. Make of that what you will....

5. If "Killer" Joe's story got 1 percent of the media coverage given to
Condit/Levy the s.o.b. would never have his own talk show.

6. Whether he is or not, he's guilty of obstruction and fraud
Whether he killed her (or rather, had someone else kill her, because he has an iron-clad alibi), he convinced the coroner and police chief to lie publicly, he spread disinformation on her health condition to keep people off his back, and he made it damn near impossible for the police to investigate it as a murder, if it was.

See, here's what gets me. If someone called me up and said "Hey, we just found someone you know, someone who has devoted a great deal of their life to helping you, dead in your office from a blow to the side of her head," my first thought would not have been "oh shit, better get everyone to cover for me, make sure no one tries to blame me for it, make sure no one asks a lot of questions about it. Better get them to lie about the head wound, and I better start spreading stories to make it look like natural causes, because it might have been, I guess." My first thought would be "Dear God! Do whatever it takes to catch the bastard who did this, and get the public involved to see what they know! Poor dear Lari." If the coroner says it could have been natural causes, I would say "Maybe, but just in case, treat it as a homicide, so no evidence gets lost."

I can't think of why I wouldn't react that way unless either a) I did it, or b) I'm just such a piece of shit that I don't give a gaddamned about a woman I know being murdered if it interferes with my career, which, incidentally, I've already announced my retirement from. Of course, there is c) both of those.

I don't know if a) is true. I know b) is true, either way. But hey, what do you expect from Republicans. The next one I meet with an ounce of decency will be the first I've met.

No way in hell. That story has been fact-checked out the wazoo. Similarly, he'll never really go after Michael Moore for his comments. Whether or not Joe Scarborough murdered Lori remains a question. But, if properly investigated, her death would without doubt be proved to be murder. And Saint Joe can't afford to go anywhere NEAR that. It'd ruin his TV career. Touching, isn't it?

11. I don't know
I must say I think it highly unlikely that a healthy young woman just happened to faint for the first time in her life, and just happened to bump her head on his desk so hard she died from the blow. I also think Scarborough's behavior ( calling the TV station ) was very suspicious.
