Do the media whores care that * has put us all in dire peril?
After all, they ride commercial airplanes, use public transportation, usually live in cities likely to be targeted by terrorists, and/or have loved ones who do. How can these retards keep singing AWOL warmonger's praises at the risk of their very lives?? I am totally amazed at the level of denial and partisan blindsiding going on in our media. THIS IS NOT POLITICS AS USUAL. THIS IS SURVIVAL! WAKE UP AMERICA!

1. As long as they can keep their monopolies
They will continue to support the thugs who allow them to increase those monopolies by illegal buyouts and takeovers.

After all, 9/11 only killed 3,000 out of 280,000,000, and they like those odds.

3. Yeah, but they generally live in the middle of potential fire storms,
making their odds of getting zapped a lot higher than mine. I'm in a small midwestern town and am (probably) relatively safe. If I were in New York, Atlanta, LA etc., like most of them, I'd be shaking in my boots.

6. That's a damn good point, saywhat.
I have often wondered myself why they are so compliant. I would love to be a fly on the wall when someone's being hired or in meetings.

9. I think there will be a rebellion at some point.
Not just from the media whores, but Repubs in general. Unfortunately if * steals another 4, it may be too late to make any difference.

10. I hope you're right but the right is full of true believers many of whom
ill- informed. What puzzles me is the media whores who see reports coming across their desks, and if they haven't found enough reason to rebel up to now what will it take?

11. It's hard to say what will wake them up.
They have no shame or professional ethics it appears. But if we ever get a fair and balanced media I will never take it for granted. I'll hold their feet to the fire on a daily basis. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

2. It's a risk they are willing to accept, for it's extreme partisanship and
right-wing ideology over country, our Constitution, right and wrong, and the patriotism required of being a citizen each and every time.

7. You got it! During our governor's election, the GOP candidate . . .
and our elected carpetbagger, neocon, the GOP's favorite son H. Barbour, had limited debates that were very structured. Prior to the debate I had emailed a reporter who was on the panel certain specifict facts that totally contradicted his alleged positions.
Every time he lied during the debate I was sure the reporter would catch him with some of the facts I sent him, but alas, he did not.

After the debate I emailed and asked why he didn't use the material. He said he was well aware of the material and had found even more than I had sent him, but the station would not allow him to veer from the script and he has a family to feed.

Reporters or personalities, you tell me.

12. "Reporters or personalities" -- neither, just whores selling their wares
The free press, supposedly a fourth pillar of our democratic society, has utterly failed us. The other three have been sabotaged at their foundations.

It won't be long before the roof caves in.

8. no
they care about being part of what they perceive as an elite.

This elite, once professional and intellectual, is increasingly indistinguishable from the dominant right wing operational partisans in DC.

14. "Dire Peril"?
>41,000 Americans die each year in auto accidents

>11,000 die each year from gunshots

Cigarettes, lightning, Coca-Cola and McDonalds are each a far greater risk than terrorism.

It's this perception of 'Dire Peril' that Bushco hopes will see him re-elected in November......I'd suggestyou don't help him perpetuate the Myth.

15. Actually, when the shipment of hairspray and lip gloss can't
be delivered because a road, bridge, tunnel or (you name it) has been blown up and there is none, then you might get their attention.
