Interesting reaction to a DNC canvasser.

A young woman came to my door this evening soliciting donations for the DNC.

I gave her $25 and while writing out the check, asked whether she was getting good reactions from the households in my neighborhood.

She said for the most part, people were very positive. And then she said that at one house, when she identified herself, the homeowner leapt out the door and hugged her!!!

I don't buy it for a minute. I don't trust anybody begging on the streets.

but that was my first thought too. Are we too cynical? I hope she had ID. Does the DNC send people out door to door?

As far as I can tell, they haven't cashed the check yet! I've also seen the canvassers around the downtown area, not just going door to door.
