9. I'll be at Cody's with bells on.
Wonder if they'll let me bring my own book (pre-ordered so I'll probably have it by then).

Aw hell, if it means I can shake the Big Dog's hand, I'll buy another copy there and give the first one away. :bounce:

13. Um....sorry to burst a Democratic bubble but Hillary was
formerly on the BOARD of Wal-Mart. I cannot get to the story because it's a paid site but here is the blurb from Google.

Forrester Research: Winning In A Wal-Mart World
... Within the next three years, Walmart.com will introduce an online grocery ... Former senator and former Wal-Mart board member Hillary Rodham Clinton -- whom Wal ...

3. Guess he passed on Austin
Oh well, I knew the odds were slim, but I got to see his speech at UT in February, '03.

5. Issaquah?
Cosco? Barnes&Noble? Damnit! Why not visit the biggest INDEPENDENT bookstore in the country, Powell's in Portland? Yes, in Oregon! One of the states the Republicans are focusing on this election!

6. Yay! 3 Bay Area appearances
Thanks for posting the link. I have never gone to see an author read, nor have I ever asked anyone to autograph a book (working in publishing, the mystique wears off real fast): Bill will be the first.

7. I don't think I will be able to
He has two scheduled in the Los Angeles area but I doubt I will be able to make either one. For one, I would have to go alone, not a pleasing prospect, and two, standing in line for hours and hours is not something my back could take. Oh well, maybe he'll do a second tour, one I can make.

8. Well, you can try
mailing it to him and ask him to sign it - I know folks do that sometimes. Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it. I'll also be on line alone (dont want to bring the baby; safety issues), but since (I hope) everyone on line is a fan, there may be friends I don't know I have yet in that line.

14. OMG - I can't believe he'll be in L.A. next Sat.
at 10a.m. I guess I'll leave straight from the F911 movie to go get in line. Lots of Starbuck for me next weekend! To meet Big Dog is almost unimaginable to me.

15. OMG!!! i'm actually flying into OC on the 25th for a wedding.
I can make the santa monica one!! I'm so excited! I don't care if hubby goes with me or not. I'm not missing this. It's a meeting of a lifetime. And a chance for me to get a picture.

Now, if I can find a way to listen to AAR while in line, I'll be in heaven.

17. Book signing..
I bought the ticket on phone for the Clinton book signing in Los Angeles. This is my first time and I am already nervous. How does thsi work?
1) Can I take my digital camera to take pictures with him?
2) Can i take my cellphone with me?
3) Should I get there early?

The bookstore mentioned he will sign 1500 books and I am guaranteed and he had reached a quota of 500 only...

19. I don't know
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 12:11 PM by Scairp
I read the rules on the website of one of the bookstores, and it said NOTHING but the book can be brought in with you, not even a purse. Secret Service rules I'm sure. You should call the bookstore and ask them about the camera.
