Bush on the edge, about to free fall right into nothing (apologies to TP)

"Bush Disputes al Qaida-Saddam Conclusion"

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&u=/ap/20040617/ap_on_go_pr_wh/sept_11_bush_7

"There was a relationship between Iraq and al-Qaida," Bush insisted following a meeting with his Cabinet at the White House.

"This administration never said that the 9-11 attacks were orchestrated between Saddam and al-Qaida," he said.

"We did say there were numerous contacts between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaida, for example, Iraqi intelligence agents met with (Osama) bin Laden, the head of al-Qaida in the Sudan."

"The world is better off and America is more secure without Saddam Hussein in power," Bush told reporters in the Cabinet Room where he met with his advisers to discuss Iraq and the economy.

Saying this TODAY about the War Criminal, Donald Rumsfeld:

"The secretary and I discussed that for the first time this morning. ... I'm never disappointed in my secretary of defense. He's doing a fabulous job and America's lucky to have him in the position he's in."

4. If this free fall of Bush actually happens before Kerry takes office....
...who will take charge of the country? My God the idea of Cheney or Hastert becoming the Command-in-Chief is pretty scary. Will there be a military coup? The generals will totally yield to the neo-cons and that would mean that Rumsfeld, Cheney and Rove would be in charge.

5. Ohhhh...how sweet...Bush likes Rumsfeld....Ohhhh...
Asked whether he was disappointed that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld had improperly held an Iraqi prisoner in secret for more than seven months in violation of the Geneva Conventions, Bush replied: "The secretary and I discussed that for the first time this morning. ... I'm never disappointed in my secretary of defense. He's doing a fabulous job and America's lucky to have him in the position he's in."

I bolded the obvious ass-protecting lie before the fabulous statement.... BWAHAHAHAAHAHA. Again, Bush should be singing: They are coming to take me away, Ha Ha

7. Once a lying cocksucker...
... always a lying cocksucker.

Don't expect any more than that from this sonofabitch.

Evidence says no, and Bush says yes.

Why the public couldn't figure out that this turkey was a liar in his first campaign is beyond me (well, except that he had a helluva lot of help from the press, who thought he was a great guy, and that Gore was dull and wore earth tones).

If Bush were bacteria in a petri dish, scientists would be wandering by, saying, "what the hell is that?"

20. Okay, since you asked....
Morford, look out....

This man is the slime left in the trail of the lowliest of slugs. He's neither human nor android. He's reptilian. If I stepped on Bush on the sidewalk, I'd think it a public service.

Bush is anathema, the antithesis of all that is good and kind and decent in this society. His friends and associates are demons, and he is the anti-Christ, the poseur, the fake, the phony, who ascends to a throne which is crumbling and rotten.

Bush is Cheney. Cheney is Bush. Both make Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly" look like a golden god. This man is little more than the sputum from a consumptive North Korean snail.

That said, I hope he's unelected soon, before I find myself in need of a heart valve. :P

12. Yeah, but how much of the country actually believes him?
That's the scariest part. On Ann Coulter's chat room, they're all screaming about how the 9/11 Commision is leaning way Left and can't be trusted and how Bush is right. They offer this as proof:

* Abdul Rahman Yasin, a member of the al Qaeda cell that detonated the 1993 World Trade Center bomb, fled to Iraq. U.S. forces recently discovered a cache of documents in Tikrit, Saddam's hometown, that show that Iraq gave Yasin both a home and a salary.

"* Bin Laden met eight times with officers of Iraq's Special Security Organization, a secret police agency run by Saddam's son Qusay, and with Saddam's external intelligence service, according to intelligence made public by Secretary of State Colin Powell, at the United Nations Security Council on Feb. 6, 2003.

* Bin Laden met the director of the Iraqi mukhabarat in 1996 in Khartoum, according to Powell.

* An al Qaeda operative now held by the U.S. confessed that in the mid '90s, bin Laden had forged an agreement with Saddam's men to cease all terrorist activities against the Iraqi dictator.

* In October 2000, another Iraqi intelligence operative, Salah Suleiman, was arrested by Pakistani authorities. Suleiman was shuttling between Iraqi intelligence and Ayman al Zawahiri, al Qaeda's No. 2.

* Spanish investigators have uncovered documents seized from Yusuf Galan — who is charged by a Spanish court with being "directly involved with the preparation and planning" of the Sept. 11 attacks — that show the terrorist was invited to a party at the Iraqi embassy in Madrid. The invitation used his "al Qaeda nom de guerre."

* An Iraqi defector to Turkey, known by his cover name as "Abu Mohammed," told the Sunday Times of London that he saw bin Laden's fighters in Iraq in 1997. At the time, Mohammed was a colonel in Saddam's Fedayeen. He described an encounter at Salman Pak, the training facility southeast of Baghdad, where militants trained to hijack planes with knives — on a full-size Boeing 707.

* In 1998, Abbas al-Janabi, a longtime aide to Saddam's son Uday, defected to the West. At the time, he repeatedly told reporters that there was a direct connection between Iraq and al Qaeda.

* The Sunday Times found a Saddam loyalist in a Kurdish prison who claims to have been Dr. Zawahiri's bodyguard during his 1992 visit with Saddam in Baghdad. Dr. Zawahiri was a close associate of bin Laden at the time.

* Following the defeat of the Taliban, almost two dozen bin Laden associates "converged on Baghdad and established a base of operations there," Powell told the United Nations in February 2003. From their Baghdad base, the secretary said, they supervised the movement of men, materiel and money for al Qaeda's global network.

* Abu Musaab al-Zarqawi oversaw an al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan. Wounded, he sought medical treatment in Baghdad in May 2002. When he recovered, he restarted a training camp in northern Iraq. Zarqawi's Iraq cell was later tied to the October 2002 murder of Lawrence Foley, a U.S. Agency for International Development official. The captured assassin confessed that he received orders and funds from Zarqawi's cell in Iraq.

* Documents found among the debris of the Iraqi Intelligence Center show that Baghdad funded the Allied Democratic Forces, a Ugandan terror group led by an Islamist cleric linked to bin Laden. According to a London's Daily Telegraph, the organization offered to recruit "youth to train for the jihad" at a "headquarters for international holy warrior network" in Baghdad.

* CIA Director George Tenet told the Senate Intelligence Committee: "Iraq has in the past provided training in document-forgery and bomb-making to al Qaeda. It also provided training in poisons and gasses to two al Qaeda associates; one of these associates characterized the relationship as successful. . . . This information is based on a solid foundation of intelligence. It comes to us from credible and reliable sources. Much of it is corroborated by multiple sources."

The 9/11 Commission's work is too important to squander on politics. The nation needs a full, frank assessment of the government-wide failures in the Clinton and Bush years that led to the terrorist attacks — and a sober judge, not a camera-mugging prosecutor. Let's hope the commissioners realize that before July 26. "

Edited on Thu Jun-17-04 12:14 PM by Marianne
Powell trying to look as if he is indeed a statesman, according to the myth of Powell and trying to live up to or at least look like that myth, and hyeractive, out of his league, in over his head, Bush the frat boy, son of another failed president.

Liars all of them and they do not care who knows it. Here they are, set for life due to their lies. They managed to murder tens of thousands, and wound and maim thousands more, then proceed to ignore them, and their flag drapped caskets, while we see pictures of all the young soldiers hooting and hollaring and fighting each other to shake the hand of the despicable man , who was AWOL himself from his own duty in wartime, and now cockadoodles and struts in front of cameras telling more lies to these willing soldiers. They will be ousted--with all their money, to enjoy a completely safe and lovely retirement. The build up toward all these scadals and these lies is too large to spin away now. Powell thinks in his mind he can play his statesman game--he gave it away to Bush, on the floor of the UN

It is no wonder that people in this country do not vote.

25. Bush does the "Gish Gallop" on the al-Quaida/Iraq connection.......
The "Gish Gallop" was a term coined by an evolutionary biologist who used to degate Duane Gish, a "Creation Science" apologist. Every time the evolutionist would shoot down one of Gish's bogus arguments, he would "gallop" to another piece of "evidence" against evolution and say "See!" The Atta/Iraqi intelligence meeting in Prague now being officially and soundly debunked, Bush "gallops" to an Iraqi/Bin Laden meeting in the Sudan and says "See!"
