17 Car Bombings in 17 DAYS in IRAQ - Media FAILING as usual.....
17 Car Bombings in 17 days in Iraq...ask around to your friends and colleagues and ask them to guess how many car bombings there have been in Iraq the past few weeks.

I bet they will guess 3-5-maybe 6.

Seventeen! Hundreds killed, many more injured.

The Corporate Media has failed again.

Two years from now, the corporate media whores will do a bunch of "soul-searching" about their Iraq coverage asking if they could have "done more."

:eyes:

2. Even on TV news, when the news casters ask for interpretations....
...and clarifications, many of the journalists can say nothing and I often wonder if they are really doing investigative reporting or just giving out the official news releases.

3. No, the media is too busy spreading the myth that
the media is too busy ignoring all the good that is happening in Iraq.

Stuff like -

electricity availability is almost near pre-war levels
almost as many kids are in school as before
we almost torture as many citizens as Saddam
citizens will soon be able to be on the streets after dark
someday the Iraq oil industry will pump at pre-war levels, but well below pre-sanctions levels
Iraq has seen a huge influx of immigration - many of those immigrants are in high paying jobs, the military and defense industries - while they may leave shortly they are spending good cash.
Other recent immigrants plan to spend the remainder of their days in Iraq - regrettably, they are suicide bombers.

the list goes on, of course - all media failures.

4. Yep, that's my favorite myth
Hannity types use it all the time. They say the media only reports the bad news, and argue about it for hours on end not realizing the hypocrisy that THEY are the media, and they could easily use the time to report all the "good news" instead of arguing that it's not being reported.
