Theater owners getting death threats for showing F911

Late last week, a right-wing group began an Internet campaign encouraging consumers to put pressure on exhibs not to screen the film. One independent theater owner in Illinois, Skip Huston, said that after booking the movie, he has received death threats.

"I was a little worried when I was getting phone calls and e-mails calling me a Nazi, Commie pig," Huston told Daily Variety. "But things started turning around on Saturday and the support emails are now coming in at 150-to-1 in favor of showing the movie."

But, it only shows up if we take action!

We *must* develop the habit of writing and calling, because this is *always* the case -- the RW is writing and calling all the time, and leaving nasty messages -- and death threats.

We need to remember that when there is media coverage of speeches by Kennedy, Leahy, Byrd, etc. The Reich Wing is hounding them, and we need to neutralize their efforts.

So, how 'bout great numbers of us make calls tomorrow morning to our congresscritters, encouraging the filing of criminal war crimes against Rumsfeld? Surely we can do for that what we managed to do for Michael Moore?

BTW, I only got 2 responses to all the emails I sent out about F911, so it's really good to hear it's making an impact!

4. Calling Homeland Security

Don't threats of this sort fall under the aegis of the Department of Homeland Security? It'll be interesting to see if Tom Ridge's finest are willing or able to trace some of these threats to the freepers responsible. If no freepers are held accountable for making threats, I'll have to conclude that Homeland Security has a severe case of tunnel vision.
