TONGA! TONGA! TONGA!

Critics question Tonga's Iraq deployment
The Tongan Government is being accused of sending troops to Iraq for domestic political reasons.

Forty-four Tongan soldiers left to serve alongside US Marines in Iraq earlier this week, but the Kingdom's Human Rights and Democracy Movement says this could make Tonga a target for terrorists.

snip...

"I don't really understand what's the rationale behind why Tonga wants to send the troops," he said.

"And I think sending the troops to Iraq... it's not necessary to defend democracy there, but I think it's a building up of military strength here as well, so it is also in a way sending the message to any reactionary group... yes, the Government has the strength to overcome any."

3. Have you noticed that Peter Sellers's movies are really applicable to
the situation we are in now:
Being There
Dr. Strangelove
The mouse that roared...

spouting inanities at each other while our whole country has been hijacked by an army of Strangeloves.Ronald Dumbsfeld has indeed achieved his Total Information Dominance over us.

4. Our Man in Havana
Excellent movie, greater book. Jim Wormold is a vacuum salesman turned spy in pre-Fidel Cuba. He starts sending blueprints of weapons of mass destruction back to Britain and claims there's a huge military installation in the hills behind Havana. Wormold lines his pockets at the expense of the mother country while his blueprint is merely an oversized drawing of one of his vacuum cleaner models.

5. We have several men like that but they don't even bother to go
to Havana. They just stay in DC and sell us the vacuum drawings... for the price of billions and thousands of lives.
