"Method & Red" - show O'Reilly is boycotting FOX for - on at 9:30 EST
Said he would not watch ANYTHING on the "entertainment division of FOX" as long as "those two thugs" were on the air.

Guess Method & Red can kiss the "splotchy old moran windbag" demographic goodbye. :7

1. What Fox calls "entertainment"
Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 08:29 PM by MissRegina
is generally garbage anyways. I would have to side with O' Reilly on this one.

25. Sadly, fox has the only good entertainment on TV right now.
Simpsons. Malcolm. Arrested Development. Bernie Mac.

That's the only good comedy on right now.

Arrested Development is extremely good.

28. Then get Cable. :)
The Sopranos. Six Feet Under. Deadwood. The Wire. Curb Your Enthusiasm. Dead Like Me. Queer As Folk. The Daily Show. Who's Line Is It Anyway? (Comedy Central). South Park.

2. This is further proof of O'Reilly's racism
Notice he doesn't seem to target white musicians?

4. Exactly!
my bet is his view is based ENTIRELY on the stereotype he percieves. These guys are fairly tame compared to most of the other stuff out there.

8. Christ, so was Ludacris, but he went after him, too.
All Bill lacks is a white hood and rusted-out Camero with the Stars-n-Bars painted on the top.

Diversity people, we can't all be as morally superior (rich)as Nichole and Paris, corrupting youth and all.

13. Wu Tang Clan is pretty tame stuff
Albeit, they do get raunchy, but there's far worse stuff out there. I hate most rap, but Wu Tang isn't bad.

If O'Reilly really appreciated the freedoms of our country, then why is he so adamant about stomping all over the First Amendment?

18. Wu Tang was never really gangster rap.
It was almost like a parody of the genre, but then exceeded it on many levels. The RZA may be the best hip hop producer of all time.

The man is talented. Listen to the "Kill Bill" soundtrack. He scored it.

5. O'Really boycotting Faux?!
oh, right, just the "entertainment division" of Faux. Can't have him actually taking a stand on principle that might actually affect his cushy, multimiliion-dollar job, now can we?

If I were the president of Faux (perish the thought), I'd call him on it! "Either you call off your boycott of our network, or you're outta here faster than Wonderfalls!"

15. If I were Faux Prez I wouldn't give him the option, he would be history
and I bet there is language in his contract that provides that he will refrain from any behavior that could in any way cause harem or be considered detrimental to the Faux network. A boycoat of one of their shows is definitely detrimental.

Excellent O'Reilly description there. If O'Reilly's boycotts against France and Canada are anything to go by "Method and Red" will be up for an Emmy soon.

10. so much suckiness
Most everything on TV sucks right now. It's all programmed for the lowest common denominator or the biggest advertising buck. This looks like it will suck as much as everything else.

That being said, he's a complete racist for targeting only this show amongst all the suckiness out there.

"can kiss the "splotchy old moran windbag" demographic goodbye."

LOL. That was great. ^ :D

23. I hope I never get so "old"
.. that I walk around like I have a stick up my ass about every damn little thing. Doesn't he ever get tired of being so faux indignant?

As far as Fox programming goes, as far as I can tell, M&R isn't even pushing the envelope as much of their entertainment programming does.

Not that I care. I hate the damn envelope. :)

Edited on Wed Jun-16-04 09:27 PM by powergirl
He pretends they aren't the same and claims to have no association with great family value programs like WHO WANTS TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE, TEMPTATION ISLAND, etc. etc.

What a load!! :puke:

...or the plastic surgery beauty pageant.

Or "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire".

I find this shit more offensive than anything Method and Red could possibly do.

makes me sick. They have to be the most obnoxious and self centered people on tv. Teaching kids it's cool to be ignorant, self-serving bastards.

29. If O'Reilly really wants to make a statement. . .
. . .while I am not familiar with his compensation package I am sure there is some sort of profit sharing. If he really wants to make a statement his would publicly reject his profit sharing.
